*Jayda PoV*
It was 2:25pm the next day. I woke up and notice Ashonti was gone. I got out of bed and went to take a shower. I looked at the clock it was 2:50pm. So i got dressed, I put on a all black leather skirt, a white half shirt, and some black and white Jordan's. When I was done getting dress it was 3:00 and my phone was ringing. Not looking at the caller ID I answered. "Hello". I said. "You with Derrick yet". Ashonti said. Ugh I was hoping it was Derrick. "No I think this him that just text me hold on" I said looking at my phone.

"I'm gone call you back later Derrick's outside waiting on me". I said happily. "Okay good luck". she said.
I hung up the phone and went outside. When I saw him leaning on his car I smiled real big. "Hey Jayda" Derrick said snapping me out of my thoughts. "Umm hey Derrick". I said nervous. "Get in" He said opening the car door for me. "Thanks". I said getting in the car. He got in and we drove quietly until he said "You look beautiful". "Thanks". I said with a big smile. "You wanna go to the beach"? he asked. "Sure that sound fun". I said quickly.
The beach from my house is a 45 minute drive. We finally arrived at the beach. He parked the car, I took of my shoes and extra clothes. I had on my swim suit and bottoms, but I put back on my shorts. We got out the car and walked on the beach quietly for 10 minutes until he broke the silence. "So how do you know Ashonti"? He said "We been bf since we were freshman's". I said looking down. "Aww forreal she never told me that". he said. I wonder why she never mention me to him . "I figured". I said quietly.
I can feel him looking at me. I looked up at him and he started smiling. I smiled back at him. "You have a pretty smile". He said to me. I blushed "Thanks, You do to" I said. I wanted to ask him a question but I was to scared to say something to him first. "You hungry". He asked looking at me. "Umm yea". I said. We walked to a diner that was on the beach. We sat down at a table, waiting for our waiter. Than a tall blonde-headed white girl walked up to our table. "Hey my name is Sally I'll be your waiter for today can I start you off with drinks". she said with her Texas accent. "Yea I'll take a sprit". Derrick said looking at me. "And you". the women said looking at me. "Umm I'll take a lemonade". I said.
She walked off. "Have you talked to Ashonti today". Derrick asked me. "Yea". I said looking down. "She told me you liked me since Sophomore year". He said with a smile. 'Umm-"Here's your drinks". The waiter said cutting me off. She sat Derrick drink down in front of him. She started to hand me my drink and the glass slipped out her hand. I was soaked with lemonade. I stood up quickly and walked off. "Jayda"! Derrick said running behind me. I just kept walking until Derrick grab me by my arm and turn me towards him. "Whats wrong". he said looking me into eyes. "Nothing I just want to go home". I said. I can feel tears falling down my face but I ignored it.
Derrick whipped the tears from my face. "Its going to be okay its just a little lemonade". Derrick said, Derrick started to laugh. "You should've seen your face when she spilled the lemonade on you". I punched him playfully, and started laughing. We walked along the beach laughing an playing. I looked at my phone it was 5:59pm. "Jayda can I ask you a question"? Derrick said. 'Umm sure". I said nervously. "Do you- interrupting Derrick my phone rung. "Sorry". I said as I answered my phone.
Me: "Hello"
Shonti : "Hey girl what you doing"
Me: "Nothing walking the beach with Derrick".
Shonti : "Forreal I thought you was at home let me speak to him".
Me : "Okay". I said handing Derrrick the phone.
*Derrick PoV*
Jayda handed me her phone. "Ashonti wants to talk to you" she said. I grabbed the phone.
Shonti : "Derrick"?
Me: "Wussup".
Shonti : "What Y'all was doing all day".
Me: Nothing really, playing on the beach.
Shonti : "She haven't asked you out yet"?
Me: "No I didn't know she was suppose to".
Ashonti started laughing.
Me: "Why Didn't you tell me that you knew Jayda Since Freshman year"?
Ashonti : "You never asked did I know her".
Me : "Yea I know i talk to you later"
Shonti : "Alright bye".
I gave Jayda back her phone. "You look tired you ready to go home"? I asked. "Umm yea sure". Jayda said. We walk to the car I open the door for her. She looked exhausted, I shut the door and got in the car.
*Jayda PoV*
After he shut the door he go in an started the car up. I was so sleepy, I looked at my phone and it was 6:10pm. I felt myself dozing off.
*Derrick PoV*
I started up the car and pulled off. I stopped at a red light. I look over at Jayda and she was sleep. She look so cute when she sleep. I Drove for 45 minutes to get to Ashonti's house. Finally arriving at Ashonti house, parked the car and got out. She was still asleep, i went to her side of the car and opened it. I picked Jayda up and walked to Ashonti front door and knocked. Waiting for at-least one minute Ashonti finally answered the door.
Ashonti started laughing. "What happen she fell asleep on the way here". she said. "Yea ig so". I said sarcastically. "Come in". She said opening the door wider. I walk in and stood there. Ashonti closed the door and walk down the hallway, I followed her. "You can lay her down right there". she said pointing to a queen size bed. I laid Jayda down and kissed her on the fore-head. "See ya later" I said walking out. "Alright". she said as I walked out.
