*Jayda PoV*
I went to school from Ashonti's house. Wearing all white skinny jeans with rips and a red shirt with some red and white adidas. All through out school me and Derrick have been texting. We're in last period and Derrick put a piece of paper on my desk when he walked past. I open the note and started smiling. It was an invitation to his pool party at his house tonight.
Ding Ding Ding the bell rung and everybody rushed out the door. I tried to catch up with Derrick but everybody kept pushing and shoving. I went to my locker, and got my things out and walked outside to my car. When I heard somebody calling name. "Jayda"! I turned around, it was Ashonti. "Yea". I said unlocking my car door. "Did you get an invitation to Derrick pool party"? she said smiling big as hell. "Yea did you"? I asked. "Yea I cant wait to go, wanna go shopping for some swim suits"? she asked excitedly.
"Yea come on". I said. We drove to the nearest mall to go find a swim suit for tonight. We arrives to the mall, we got out and headed into the mall. We walked to the swim suit section. I saw a all white pok-a-dotted swim suit and instantly fell in love with it. I ran to it and picked it up. "Oh my gosh this is so cute". I said excitedly. "Yea Ig it is". Ashonti said not really looking at it. Ashonti picked her a swim suit out and we went o the check out. Mines cost $25.99 and Ashonti's cost $29.99. We paid for our stuff and went to the car and drove off. I dropped Ashonti off at home and I went to my house to get ready for tonight.
I arrived at home and I went to my room and tried on my swim suit. I looked at my phone it was 5:45pm the party starts at 6:00. I spent half of my time fixing my hair and taking lots of pictures. I got a call from Derrick
Me : Hello
Derrick 😍 : Hey so are you coming to my pool party tonight?
Me : Yea i'll be there in a couple minutes.
Derrick 😍 : Okay i'll be waiting see you soon.
Me : okay
I was so excited, I put some towels in my bag and some lotion. I grabbed my car keys and headed outside. I got in my car and drove to Derrick's house. I finally arrived at Derrick's house. There was a lot of people there. I parked my car and got out. I walk in and look around. I looked around for Derrick and Ashonti. I sat my bag down on a white couch and went outside where the pool was. I saw a lot of people that went to our school. I walk around the pool peacefully until some tall black boy bumped me and pushed me into the pool. I was all wet, I pulled myself out the pool and ran in the house. I saw Derrick and Ashonti in the living room talking. I started to walk towards them until I saw Ashonti kiss Derrick. Tears filling my eyes I grabbed my bag and ran to my car.
*Derrick PoV*
Me and Ashonti was having a conversation she was telling me how she liked me and shit. Than she just up and kissed me, I pushed Ashonti away. And I saw Jayda running out the door. I ran out the door after her. She got in her car and slammed the door, and I knocked on the window. "Please Jayda let me explain". I said. I can see tears running down her face. "Jayda"? I said softly. She finally raised down her window. "What do you want". she said whipping tears from her eyes. "I just want you to know-"What you don't like me so you kiss my bf". She said cutting me off. "No thats not it-"Derrick". I turned around to see Ashonti walking up to me. She look at Jayda. "Whats wrong". She said to Jayda.
*Jayda PoV*
Ashonti had the nerve to ask me what was wrong. " I don't know you tell me , you the one that kissed my crush". "Umm Jayda its not like that I-"Forget it you can have him". I said driving off. The whole way home I was crying with the same question running through my head. How could she do this she suppose to be my bf? I finally arrived at I got out the car and open the door to my house. My mom wasn't home she doesn't get home until 6:00am in the morning and it was only 7:30pm I ran to my room an slammed the door behind me.
I kept hearing my phone vibrate, but I just ignored it. I took at shower, I stayed in there for 30 minutes thinking about what happen at the party. I got out the shower and put on some grey short shorts and a red sports bra. I looked at my phone and I had 15 missed calls from Derrick and 20 text messages. My phone rung again, I decided to answer it.
Me: Hello.
Derrick 😍: Before you hang please just let me explain what happen tonight.
I really didn't feel like talking.
Me: I don't need you to explain I already know what happen you and my bf kissed and thats the end of the story.
Derrick😍: No its not the end of the story. Just let me tell you what happened please.
Me: Okay .
Derrick😍: When Ashonti came to my house she asked me can she talk to me for a minute , and I said yea. We went in the dining room and she told me how she like me or whatever and than she kissed me. I pushed her away and thats when I saw you running out the door.
I cant believe her all this time she liked Derrick and never told me.
Me: Really ? She never told me she had a crush on you. And I'm sorry for blaming you.
Derrick😍: Its okay. Umm do you wanna hang out tonight?
Me: Umm sure where you wanna go.
Derrick😍: I can just come chill at yo place if thats okay with you?
Me: Yea sure thats cool too.
Derrick😍: Okay I'll be there in 5 minutes.
Me: Okay see you soon
I hung the phone up and went down stairs straightened everything up, sprayed air freshener. I sat on the couch and than the door bell rung. I jump up excitedly and walked to the door. I opened the door and it was Derrick. "Wussup" He said with a smile. "Hey come in". I said opening the door wider. He came in and looked around. "You go a nice house" He said picking up a picture of me. "Thanks". I said sitting in the couch. He came and sat down next to me. "Wanna watch a movie or something"? He said. "Umm sure". I put in a movie, we was watching Jeeper Creepers 1. I went in the kitchen and popped some popcorn and come and sat down, putting the bowl of popcorn in the middle of the table. The movie started, Derrick stood up and turned the lights off.
I looked at him, "What you scared of the dark"? He said laughing. "Umm No". I said smiling big. 25 minutes into the movie, I jumped. I must have jumped hard because Derrick started laughing. He moved closer to me, "Can I ask you a question"? He asked looking at me. "Sure'. I said. "Will you be my girlfriend"? He asked sounding nervous. "Umm yea sure I will". I said happily. He looked at me and just smiled really big.
I can feel my self dozing off. I laid my head on Derrick's chest and fell asleep.
