"What it say". Derrick asked. I gave him the note and started crying, And he read it out loud. After he got done reading the note he hugged me. "Its going to be okay". he whispered as he rubbed my back. "How could she just leave me like that"! I yelled still crying. Than Ashonti came up to me. "Jayda you can stay with me or Derrick". She suggested. I tried to smile through my tears.
I opened the door and the house was empty. I went to my room and my stuff was still there. I sat on my bed and put my head in my hands. The the only thing that kept running through
my head was She never cared about you. Your daddy raised you not her. I realized all that was true. I got up and started putting all my clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc in a big bag. Ashonti helped me finish packing up, when I was done Derrick and Kamron loaded my things in Derrick's car.
We all got back in the car, I still had the note in my hand just reading it over and over again cause it seemed unreal. It was silent until Kamron said something. "Where's your dad at"? It took me by surprise. "Ummm he-he's in the army". I stuttered. "How long was he in the army"? He asked. "Ummm since I was 14". I said hoping he didnt have anymore questions. "Was your parents together when he went into the army"? he asked I sighed "I really dont know ". I said irritated. "When he coming back "? he asked. "KAMRON I DONT KNOW"! I said angrily. "Oh my bad I didnt mean to piss you off". He said softly.
"I'm sorry Im just upset about this whole situation". I said looking out the window. " I understand". he said. " You wanna spend the night over my house"? Ashonti asked. Derrick looked at me waiting for me to respond . "Sure". I said hesitating. Derrick dropped me and Ashonti off first. I started to get out the car but Derrick pulled me down. He gave me a long kiss, I slowly pulled away. "I'll see you tomorrow". I said. " I love you". He said. "I love you too". I said getting out the car.
*Ashonti PoV*
Me and Kamron got out the car. It was silent and it was bugging me so I spoke up. "You wanna stay over for a couple of hours"? "Is yo moms in there"? He asked. "Nope she's at work". I said. "Ight than I'm down, imma ask Derrick do he wanna stay too." He said. Jayda got out the car,"What we waiting on"? She asked. "Kamron asking Derrick do he wanna stay for awhile". I responded. Kamron came from the car with Derrick behind him.
We walked in the house, it was dark as Fuck.
*Jayda PoV *
We walked in the house and it was pitch dark. I was scared so I grabbed onto Derrick's arm. Ashonti turned on the light in the living room. "Yall hungry"? She asked. Everybody said yes but me. "Whats wrong"? Ashonti asked me. "Nothing im just not hungry". I said sitting down on the couch.
*Ashonti PoV*
I went in the kitchen and made us some ham sandwiches and grabbed 3 bags of chips. I went back in the living room and gave Derrick and Kamron their sandwiches and chips than sat down next to Jayda and watched Halloween with them I was scared as hell when Kamron childish ass turned the lights off.
* Jayda PoV*
I really didnt want to watch tv It was 11:50 and I was so exhausted. I kicked off my shoes and laid my head on the arm of the couch. I fell into a deep sleep, dreaming of nothing but life with my dad.
*Derrick PoV*
I finished my sandwich and chips. I haven't really had a conversation with Jayda after she read that note. I looked at her and she was asleep. I felt bad for her, first her dad left her than her mom moved out on her. "Derrick can you take Jayda in the room for me"? Ashonti asked me. I went over to Jayda and picked her up. I walked up the stairs to Ashonti s room. I laid her down and sat down next to her.
*Ashonti PoV*
After Derrick took Jayda upstairs Kamron grabbed my face and started kissing me. I pulled away softly after about 1 minute catching my breathe. "I been waiting to do that all day". He said smiling. Than Derrick walked down the stairs. "Come on Bro". Derrick said walking towards the door. "Ight I'll see you later". Kamron said kissing me on the cheek. They walked out and I shut the door behind them. I went upstairs and laid next to Jayda it was now 12:05. I heard Jayda phone ring so I picked it up and saw that it was Zack. I answered and pretend to be Jayda.
Me: Hello.
Zack: Hey wussup.
Me: Ummm nothing really bored.
Zack: I stopped by your house but nobody answered.
Me: Cause Im living with Ashonti for awhile, I wanted to tell you something.
Zack: Yea wussup?
Me: I really like you but I have a bf . Nevermind you probably don't like me anymore.
Zack: I do like you I just didn't want to break you and Derrick up.
Me: Ight we'll talk about this later.
I hung up the phone and sat it back down. For some reason I don't think Jayda deserve Derrick. I still liked him and in order for me to date him I needed them separated. There's alot of stuff Jayda don't know about Derrick. I laid down and dozed off and was knocked.
