I wake up and change to dark skinny jeans with rips from the top to the bottom. I also wear a tight black shirt, my leather jacket, and my combat boots. Kat comes running into our room.
"Mommy! I want you to help me dress just like you!" She says. I smile and pick her up. We walk to her room and I set her down next to her drawers. We put her clothes in drawers because she reach them better. I pick out ripped skinny jeans, a black shirt, a leather jacket, and combat boots.
"Here, Honey," I say, handing them to her. I make her bed quickly.
"Thank you mommy! You are the best mommy ever!" She exclaims.
"Thanks, Sweetie! You're the best daughter ever!" I say. She giggles and gets dressed. I go get Miles up because they have to go to the daycare so Tobias and I can go to work. "Wake up, baby boy," I coo. He wakes up and smiles at me. "Hey, Sweetie!" I say.
"Hello Mama," he says. I smile and pick him up, out of the bed. I make the bed just as I did Kat's. He runs into me and Tobias's room. Tobias comes back, holding Miles' hand. Tobias is wearing a black shirt and black jeans with his combat boots. He gets the same thing out for Miles and I smile, walking back to our bedroom to do my make up and hair. I see the bed's already made. I walk to the bathroom and out on deep red lipstick, mascara, and some eyeliner. I put my hair in a high ponytail and walk out.
"Wow mommy! You look pretty!" Kat says, walking over to me and taking my hand.
"Mommy's always pretty," Tobias says, making my blush.
"Mama, your face is pink and red," Miles says.
"I know, Honey," I say.
"Now it's not," Kat says. I smile, my kids are the cutest in the world. We walk them down to the daycare where they see all of their friends. We kiss them goodbye and go to the net. I look up through the hole and Eric giving Max's speech this year. Then there's a black and white blur. Tobias pulls her across and out of the net. She tries to kiss him but he leans back.
"What's your name?" Tobias asks.
"Sarah, what about you?" Sarah asks.
"First jumper-Sarah!" Tobias yells. I usher out with a little more force than needed, but she's flirting with my man. Then there's a blue blob. I pull the blob across the net and see a boy. He's not particularly ugly but he's no Tobias.
"What's your name?" I ask.
"I'm Josh, and you are?" He says.
"Just get in line," Tobias says, grabbing Josh's arm and shoving him toward Sarah. Then there's red and yellow. Eventually everyone stands in the compound. While we walk through the dark hallway, I go over the names, just as I did last year.
There three initiates from Candor, Sarah, Dylan, and Rose. Rose looks a lot like Christina.
Two from Erudite, Josh and Ian.
Two from Amity, Penelope and Candy.
So far, it looks like one group is Rose, Dylan, Penelope, and Candy. The other group is Josh, Ian, and Sarah. Tobias and I have decided to hide our relationship, so our rings are in our nightstands and we covered our tattoos. We stop at the end of the hallway and turn around. Will and Lauren take the Dauntless-Borns.
"I am Four and this is Six, this is-" Tobias starts. There's always that one initiate.
"Like the numbers?" Rose asks.
"Exactly like the numbers," Tobias says.
"What, were one, two, and three taken?" She asks. Tobias takes a deep breath and walks up to her.
"What is your name?" He asks.
"Rose," She squeaks. She is exactly like Christina.
"Well, Rose, if I wanted to put up with Candor smart mouths I would have joined their faction, wouldn't I?" He says. She nods. "Keep your mouth shut, got that?" Another nod. He walks back to me and we show them the Pit and explain the rules. Tobias and I sit at our regular table, only Christina is there right now.
"Hey, Chris," I say. She looks concentrated. "Chris!" I scream.
"Ya?" She asks.
"What were you thinking about?" I ask.
"My sister, Rose, had her Choosing Ceremony this year," she says.
"There's a Rose from Candor in our initiate class," I say.
"Really?" She screeches. As if on cue, Rose sprints to Christina and tackles her in a hug. "Rose!" Christina screams.
"I missed you Chris!" Rose says.
"I missed you, too!" Chris says. They hug for a while before the pull away and sit next to each other. They make small talk for a while, talking about what they've been doing, before Rose and the other initiates go back to the Dorms. Tobias and I pick up Kat and Miles and take them home. I hold Kat and Tobias holds Miles.
"What did you do today, Girly?" I ask her.
"I played with all of my friends!" Kat answers.
"That's great, Honey!" I say enthusiastically. She giggles and I open the apartment door. We all go shower, change, and go to sleep.
