Kabanata 3

I closed my eyes, humilig ako sa kanyang dibdib habang patuloy siyang naglalakad paalis sa kumpol ng mga tao.

I remained silent, still half shaking from the blood from my knees and catching my breath.

"Wave, where are you bringing her?" I heard the manager asking. He didn't answer and held me tighter on his chest.

Because we were close, I had the chance to smell his natural scent. It's tropical. Like moist leaves from a fog in the morning. Refreshing.

Mas kumalma ako.

"Wave! I am talking to you, saan mo-"

"Let's talk later," he cut him off.

I checked where we were going and saw us approaching a room. A cabana. The manager opened the door for us.

Before I could tru and interpret, he was kneeling in front of me to check my wound.

It made my heart jump in awe. I bit my lip, watching him as I dry my tears with my fingers, refusing to see the blood.

Ayoko...

"Medicine kit," aniya.

"Water?" he offered.

I slightly nodded.

It wasn't massive, enough for a family, I think but it's so refreshing in the eyes. There is a rattan chair, couch in the small living area. There is a division separating the bed and the small kitchen.

To where I was sitting, there was a wooden round table with a vase at the top, may flat screen na T.V. rin.

"Here."

"Salamat,"

He nodded. He went to sit on the other side of the sofa and spoke.

"Please don't tell anyone out there what this place looks like," aniya.

'Di ako kaagad nakasagot.

So, this is Wave's private place? He stays here?

"Wave values his privacy so much kaya sana, pakiusap na lang. Sana ay h'wag makakalabas ang makikita mo rito, kahit pasalamat na lang sa tulong ni Wave," his tone was calm.

I slowly nodded, smiling at him. "Okay, makakaasa ka," I assured.

Wave went out of the bathroom with the kit in his hand.

I hope I'm not frowning because my face felt like doing one. Suminghot ako at kinagat ang dila, iritado.

Si Wave na sana, e! 'Yon na 'yon!

Pakialamero!

He knelt in front of me. He took my feet and I froze, I couldn't even explain why. Ayaw ko. Gusto ko si...
