Even after taking a few breaths and pinching myself, I can't believe my eyes. Everything is so different but feels familiar at the same time.

Grabbing my luggage, I politely bow at the worker and start dragging it me, descending on the escalator.

I am finally here, for the first time and seeing it with my own two eyes. After a while, I have to blink a couple of times, only to realize I haven't done so in a while.

Right now, I feel that if I close my eyes for a second, everything is going to disappear and I am going to wake up back at home with my family.

The loudness of the people roaming around the airport waiting for their loved ones, shakes me out of my thoughts, directing my eyes towards the ground below.

My heart beats faster as I scan the crowd of people, looking for that one familiar face.

The person I came here for.

As soon as we make eye contact he waves at me, making my lips curve into a smile. Then everything seems to happen in slow motion, and everything around me seems to fade away.

My feet come in contact with the ground and as I'm about to take a step forward, I freeze.

It's really happening right?

He seems to sense my hesitation because he starts walking towards me, getting closer until he stands in front of me.

So close that I can feel his hot breath on my face as he smiles down at me and mutter. "Hi." He says but his voice sounds distant.

For a while I just stand there looking at him, until he looks at the ground and scratches the back of his neck.

"H-hi," I reply hesitantly.

His eyes snap up in surprise but then soften into an eye smile. "I'm glad to see that you made it safely."

"Me too." I say blushing slightly. Get a hold of yourself, it's not like you are complete strangers.

"Here let me help you with that." He says reaching for my suitcase, our hands brushing against each other momentarily.

"Thank you." I say avoiding eye contact.

"Follow me." He says grabbing my wrist softly while guiding me through the crowd, which I'm grateful for, since I would be completely lost without him here.

As we walk I can't help but staring at his hand grabbing my wrist. He's really here.

"So," he says shaking me out of my trance, "what do you want to do first?"

"Probably find the place where I'm staying, then I'm free to explore." I say and he nods.

We keep walking until we reach the bus stop, a sense of deja vu overpowering my senses.

"You okay?" He asks, concern laced with his voice.

"I'm okay, just having a deja vu." I reply with a smile and he nods.

"Don't worry, we'll have plenty of time to talk when we arrive to my friend's house."

Our conversation is cut short when the bus stops in front of us. I look at him expectantly and he nods taking the lead.

As we board he stops at the front. "Go ahead and take a seat, I'll pay and be right with you."

Surprisingly enough, the bus wasn't too packed so finding two available seats is fairly easy.

I watch as he pays and take a seat by the window. The bus lets out a huff as its about to take off but he's still not in his seat, instead he's looking at me.

"What is it?" I say looking at the ground to hide my blushing cheeks.

He stays quiet as he sits next to me and then when I least expect it, he leans closer and whispers. "It's good to finally meet you."

With that our journey begins...
