"Earth calling?"Rose's voice slowly comes into focus as she waves her hand in front of my face, breaking me out of the deep trance I was in, and with a shake of my head, I slowly lift my gaze to meet hers.
"Sorry, what?" I ask slightly confused, noticing that class must have over for a while now since the classroom is almost empty.
"What are you smiling about?" Rose asks raising a brow. "It's giving me the creeps." She adds rubbing her arms with a slight shudder to add effect.
"Oh, sorry about that." I say giving her an apologetic smile while scratching my temple, my eyes landing on the drawing that I hope she didn't see yet.
Just how bad did I space out?
I think to myself, slowly reaching for the notebook and closing it, safely putting it away along with the rest of my stationary.
As I close the bag, Rose narrows her eyes and gasps, slightly making me jump.
"You met a boy didn't you?" She asks covering her hands with her mouth.
My mouth slightly opens as I'm about to reply, stopping halfway as an image of him walking away shortly flashes in my mind.
"A boy?" I ask tilting my head to the side, more as a question to myself rather than to her.
"Oh please," Rose says slightly rolling her eyes, "why else would you be in cloud nine?" She adds, making it seem like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"Good question." I say swinging my backpack over my shoulder. "I wonder that too."
"Wait, what? You're not going to tell me?" Rose asks as I start walking away.
"There's nothing to tell." I say with a shrug. At least not yet. "I have to get going but I'll see you later okay?" I ask and she pouts.
"Fine." She says crossing her arms. "But I'm going to find out sooner or later." She says, the corner of her mouth forming a mischievous smirk.
"I'll see you later." I say waving my hand and rushing out of the classroom before she can ask anything else.
Right now, I feel that some fresh air would do me some good, maybe help me sort out my thoughts, and I think I know just the place.
With a small smile, I slowly start making my way back home, taking my time with the walk.
Usually I would be dying to hurry home after a long lesson, but there's just something about the day that tells me to take it slow.
So with a deep breath, I slowly stretch my arms and look up at the sky. Now that it's later in the day, the sky is filled with more clouds, looking like someone grabbed pieces of pastel pink cotton candy and threw them into the sky.
But something about the sunlight and the clouds makes me think of him.
HIM.
Who exactly is he?
All I remember is his smile, and the warm feeling I felt on my chest when he was there with me, yet I can't remember what he looked like, or what he sounded like.
