Rose's phone rings loudly, slightly making me flinch as her favorite song plays. Rose scans the screen with a raised brow before its replaced by a wide smile as she picks up."Hello?" She says standing up and walking away, leaving me with my thoughts again.
Just as I am about to drift off to daydream land, Rose sits back down on her place, baking the table shake a little with her eagerness. I can basically feel excitement radiating from her body.
"Sorry about that." Rose says giving me a small smile, pulling a strand of hair behind her ear as she looks at me.
"Let me guess," I say leaning back on my chair, "Jason called?" I ask raising an eyebrow and Rose blushes at the mention of his name. She shakes her head lowering her gaze to her phone, a small smile on her face as she traces her fingers along the edges.
After a small pause she looks at me, a guilty expression covering her features. "Yes, it was Jason." She finally admits. "He wants to go to the movies in a bit." She says pursing her lips and looking at me waiting for an answer.
"Don't worry about me and go ahead." I say with a smile. "You haven't seen Jason in forever and... I didn't exactly want to come here."
"Are you sure?" She ask and respond giving her a firm nod. "Thank you so much!" Rose says giving me a hug and squealing as she walks away.
Before she completely disappears, she turns around and blows me a kiss waving goodbye. Chuckling, I pack my things and start making my way back home.
My mind keeps picturing the coffee shop from my dream, and although it's faint, a small part of the dream is still there. Now, I just need to try to remember what happened.
Before starting my mission, I make sure that my apartment is clean and presentable, hoping to make it as comfortable as possible to hopefully, help me to sleep better.
With a small smile, I clasp my hands together and close the blinds, making sure that the door is locked and my phone is on silent.
Since lately a certain someone has been getting into the habit of interrupting important moments.
With a sigh, I feel my way to my room, walking slowly until I reach my bed.
The soft mattress dips under my weight, molding to my shape as I close my eyes and take a deep breath in. Trying to focus in the interrupted dream.
At first, I can hear my every breath, slowly inhaling and exhaling until after a while the sound fades...
I find myself in what I recognize as the same coffee shop, but this time the sky outside is a bit darker. The light inside is dimmer too, only lit by the lights hanging from the ceiling.
He must be here right? That's why I keep coming back to this place...
This time I'm determined to find him, so I take my time and watch every face carefully, picturing the blurry image of the mysterious boy's face.
The coffee shop seems busier than before and not many spaces are empty. My eyes had just scanned the corner of the coffee shop when my eyes return to that place.
Something about the boy in the corner caught my attention....
Said boy is hiding behind a laptop screen with a headset placed over his ears. He lifts his head as he stretches his arms, the upper have of his face revealing the same eyes from the night before.
