Every time when I look in the mirror
All these lines on my face getting clearer
The past is gone
It went by, like dusk to dawn
Isn't that the way
Everybody's got the dues in life to pay

*unedited* TIME JUMP...A YEAR

CAROLINE'S POV

Being back on the plantation for good hasn't crossed my mind in years but since my daddy died six months ago. I thought it was about time to start the family business. My dad gave me everything in his will including the plantation to run. My mom is lost without dad but doing well none the less. Dad died from a freak accident in the barn. He fell off the loft and onto some farm equipment and had a quick death.

Everyone who worked here five years ago is still working here. My mom stays in between the plantation and her sister's house up in Witoka. Jackson has more friends and Sawyer is growing so fast. Greer and I decided to get married in the courthouse. It was a last minute decision but I love it none the less.

We have another baby on the way. I'm nine months and due any day now. Our last baby I am having. We are having a boy so we decided on the name Agustus Erin Kirkland. He is named after my dad and Greer's. Everything is fitting into place.

"Hey, Caroline, someone wants to see you." I turn around and see Blanche and Cricket standing in my kitchen.

"Can I help you two?" They look away from me and then at me.

"We were wondering if you had any job openings." I do but I don't know if they will like them.

"I have one but if you're allergic to bees then I can't help you. I need more beekeepers." They nod. "If I give this job you actually have to work and not goof around because I won't hesitate to fire you. Do not flirt with the men who work here and do not distract them. Especially, Beau, he has a very important task at hand right now with both Plantations. You two go out to the honey barn and talk to Barry and he will give you the tour and let you know how everything works out there."

They nod and leave. I look over at Dixie. "I didn't put them up to this. I stopped talking to Blanche when she tried to get with Noah. Cricket and I don't even talk."

I nod. "It's fine. Are you done for the day?" She nods. "Let's go sit on the patio and drink some tea."

I get the tea and glasses filled with ice. We go to the patio and sit in the chairs. I sit the tear and glasses on the small table in between us. Dixie fills the glasses as I stare out at the garden.

"So do you know if this baby is going to have a cleft palate like Jackson?" I look over at Dixie.

"We have to wait and see. It wouldn't bother if he did. I will still love him either way." Dixie nods.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you Beau took Sawyer out to ride on Ella. They should be back soon. Sawyer kept bugging him about the horse so he gave in." I snort.

"He can't say no to her. No man here can." Dixie giggles.

"I remember the other day she wanted to go see the bee's and she kept asking Barry over and over again and he squatted down to her level and was talking to her and she screamed at him for telling her no. He took her to see the bees anyways." I laugh.

"She's something else." Dixie nods.

"How's your mom doing or you? You know since your dad died." I take a sip of my tea.

"My mom don't talk to me about him. She only calls to talk to Jackson and Sawyer. I'm doing fine." I shrug. "Don't bother me, honestly."

"So Noah and I are thinking about having another baby." I smile widely.

"Do it! My babies need friends!" She giggles. I look out into the garden to see Beau holding Sawyer as they walk up the steps. "There's my baby girl."

She smiles at me. "You know your daughter is a pain in my ass?"

I glare at him for saying ass and he chuckles. "Ass. Ass. Ass."

I facepalm and Dixie tries to hold back her laugh as does Beau. "I'm going to kill you, Beau!"

"Chill, it's not like she's saying fuck you." Beau puts Sawyer down and she climbs into my lap.

"Fuck you!" Sawyer points at Beau and sticks her tongue out. I smirk.

"Don't say that, Sawyer. It's a dirty word!" She giggles. Sawyer lays her head on my shoulder and stares at Beau.

"I think your daughter has a crush on me." I snort.

"You think everyone has a crush on you." Beau rolls his eyes.

"Anyways, I need to go finish up for the day." I nod and he walks off. I look over at Dixie and she smiles at me.

"I just realized that Gus is more than likely going to look exactly like Jackson and Greer." I snort.

"You're probably right. Miss Sawyer looks exactly like down to the roots of her blonde hair." Dixie giggles. I feel something trickle in between my legs. I look at Sawyer and see her sleeping. "Either she just peed on me or my water just broke."

Dixie stands up and picks Sawyer up. She looks down and smiles widely. "Someone's having a baby!"

"Fuck me." I stand up and the rest just falls out of me. I frown as I see a little blood. "So can you like go get him and tell him I am in the car...all of stuff is already in there."

She nods and walks away with Sawyer in her arms. I quickly go to the car and get in. Greer comes running from the side of the house and quickly climbs in the car. He starts her up and we leave.

Agustus Erin Kirkland has made his debut. A healthy chubby baby boy. I couldn't be happier and neither could Greer. Greer has been holding him for the last hour and won't let me see him. I lean my head to the side and see Greer asleep with him in his arms. I lightly smile and stare.

"Take a picture it'll last longer." I snort.

"Why should I take a picture when you're going to be doing that a lot." He smiles and opens his eyes.

"He's mine. You can't have him." I pout playfully.

"He came out of me not you! It would be different if you had him out your penis." Greer cringes.

"Ah Hell NO!" I laugh.

"You know I am happy with the way my life, our life has turned out. It's better than what I thought." He nods.

"I love you and all three of our babies. You guys have changed me for the better and I am thankful for it!"
