That night, Kurt was shocked to see something when Sebastian changed.

He, somehow, was a perfectly healthy weight. The bandages on his arms were gone, replaced by old healing cuts and scars.

Kurt was absolutely in awe. How could he gain so much weight so fast, or simply stop cutting?

He curled up a bit tighter under his covers, feeling more alone than ever. Did he just imagine it all? Was he that desperate for someone to relate?

The next morning, Kurt headed down to breakfast with Sebastian like normal. He didn't get food, though.

As soon as they sat down, Sebastian chuckled. "Nice bruise there, Hunter."

"Ah, you know doors hate me."

"Maybe you should just watch where you're going and stop stumbling into things."

"I watch where I'm going, sometimes I just trip."

"Walk where there's level ground, then. Stay out of hazard zones."

Jeff leaned over to Nick. "Why do I get the feeling they're not talking about Hunter's clumsiness anymore?" he stage whispered.

"Yeah, what are you guys talking about?" Thad asked. "Because it sounds more like Sebastian giving Hunter a rather threatening warning instead of friendly advice."

Sebastian didn't break eye contact with Hunter, and they all recognized the look on his face. His 'go ahead, I dare you,' look.

"Nothing," Hunter said, looking away from him.

"No, Hunter, they asked you a question. Please, answer them," Sebastian said, resting his chin on his fist.

Hunter looked back at him. "They asked you too, technically."

Sebastian tilted his head to the left, smiling. "Right. Because you can't answer, can you? That contract, your college?"

"What? Contract?" Jeff asked, looking between the two of them.

"Always around me. Never once yelled at me. Makes sure I'm at every meal. Tone always cautious around me. Can't tell anybody anything about me." Sebastian's voice was pleasant, but his eyes were steely.

"How did you find out?" Hunter asked, looking shocked.

Sebastian stood up, leaning across the table to Hunter. "I'm mental, not stupid."

With that, he left. Kurt stood up to follow him.

"Don't. He'll want to be alone," Hunter warned.

Kurt shook his head. "He hates being alone. I would have thought you knew that."

He followed Sebastian out of the hall.

"Hunter, what was that?" Jeff asked.

Hunter sighed. "He's right, I can't tell you."

With that, he left as well.
