Of course, Percy and Jason were friends. They'd gone through too much together not to be. There was a mutual respect between them. Each knew that the other had lived a difficult life and had learned a lot along the way.

Plus, they genuinely enjoyed hanging out with one another. Jason finally had someone to spar with that was equally as powerful as him. Percy finally had a guy friend to hang out with that wouldn't steal his wallet or set him on fire.

One day, aboard the Argo II, Jason and Percy decided to spar on deck. Both were hacking away at one another viciously. Jason had asked Percy to hold nothing back.

He'd said, "Enemies aren't going to hesitate when they have the chance to hurt us, so why should we hesitate when we have the chance to hurt them?"

Metal clanged as the boys' swords collided. Jason striked, Percy blocked. The fight went on like this for several minutes, until Jason jabbed the top of his sword dangerously close to Percy's chest.

"Ha, missed!" Percy shouted. He thought about his next move carefully. Several years ago, during one of Percy's first sword lessons, Luke Castellan had taught him a particularly tricky move. Percy went through the motions in his head, then acted upon them.

Percy twisted the blade of his sword just as Jason was coming in for another strike. The top of Percy's blade made contact with the hilt of Jason's. Percy applied pressure, and Jason's blade clattered against the deck.

For a moment, Jason was shocked. He'd never been disarmed so easily. His mouth was slightly parted as he stared add his sword laying at his feet. Then, very slowly, his hand rose toward the sky.

Percy gasped. "Oh no. Not getting zapped today." In one swift motion, he swiped his sword along Jason's left shoulder.

"Bro!" Jason hollered, a bit of a laugh hiding behind the word. He grabbed his shoulder and chuckled when his hand came away speckled with blood. The wound wasn't deep at all, but it was enough to warrant a sip of nectar in the infirmary later. "What was that for?"

"You were gonna zap me!" Percy shouted."Plus, it's your own fault. You're totally exposed. That's what you get for wearing tanktops."

Jason frowned slightly and looked down at his sleeveless shirt. "Its a Muscle-tee."

Percy scoffed. "O-okay. Whatever you say."

He turned to Piper, who had been standing to the side and watching the whole ordeal. Percy put a hand next to his mouth to block Jason's view, and mouthed, "It's totally a tanktop."

Piper smiled and mouthed back, "It totally is."
