Don't yell at me, I got bored.

Danny woke up with a start, he looked around and realized that everything was okay, it was fine, he was fine. Though part of him didn't want to be fine, he was never really fine by normal standards, but by his standards he was fine. Just seconds after he woke up he heard Maddie practically pound on his door, "Get up, now!"

She unlocked his door and he mentally sighed before he sat up and he turned on the light, he was still in the cupboard under the stairs, yay. He then heard his cousin Jazz running down the stairs before she stomped on the stairs above him. "Wake up Danny, we're going to the zoo!"

Danny growled at the noise, Jazz then ran the rest of the way downstairs and Danny threw his blankets off of himself before he opened the cupboard door and got out. He moved his white hair out of his eyes and took a breath before heading into the kitchen, he was not looking forward to today.

He felt the urge to rub his scar, which was on the side of his neck, that looked like a skull that turned into flames at the top and what looked like two wings circling it. He actually liked his scar but he often wondered where he got it, it couldn't have been from what his aunt and uncle said it was from. He hear Maddie talking, "There she is, the birthday girl."

Jack spoke, "Happy birthday baby girl."

Danny walked in and Maddie was hugging Jazz, Danny just barely stopped himself from rolling his eyes, he didn't want to get hurt again. Maddie looked at him, "Your cooking breakfast and don't burn anything."

Danny wouldn't look her in the eye, the intense glare sent his way was enough to scare grown men and make them shriek like little girls. Danny just nodded and started cooking, he had gotten good at cooking over the years since Maddie made him do it half the time. Maddie looked excited as she lead Jazz over to the table with the young girls eyes covered, "I want everything to be perfect for Jazz's special day!"

While Danny was cooking Jack yelled at Danny, "Danny, bring me my coffee."

Danny quickly got his uncles coffee while making sure the food didn't get burned, he kept telling himself to not make them angry. Maddie took her hands away from Jazz's eyes and the girl's face fell as she looked at the presents and looked at Jack. "How many are there?"

Jack smiled at her, "Thirty six, counted them myself!"

Jazz then seemed to get angry, "Thirty six, last year I had thirty seven!"

Danny forced himself not to say anything, Jazz was beyond spoiled and this was one of the many ways she was spoiled, she got whatever she wanted. He drowned out the conversation in favor of doing what he was told, before he knew it they were getting ready to leave. Danny wore black pants, white boots that almost reached his knees, a white belt, a black shirt, a black jacket, and white fingerless gloves.

The only reason he even had these clothes is because the wrong clothes had been sent in the mail for Jazz. They couldn't return the clothes and they were his size so they gave the clothes to him, he even had duplicates of all the clothing articles. The four headed to the car, Jazz and Maddie got in but before Danny could Jack stopped him, "I'm warning you, any funny business and I will make you sorry."

Jack then turned away and got into the car, Danny started shaking a little just thinking about what might happen but he forced himself to get into the car. Strange things always seemed to happen when he was around and he knew why, he was part ghost. After an 'accident' when his cousin pushed him into one of his aunt and uncles inventions when he was six or seven he had powers.

He learned how to use them but weird things started happening, things he couldn't write off as his ghost powers, even after he learned how to use them. His aunt and uncle hated it when that stuff happened and they took their anger out on him. He had to control it, he had to, he didn't want to keep getting hurt so he'd shut up and do his best to control it.
