Trolls and Brooms

Months later, at Halloween, Danny and the rest of the school was in the great hall eating dinner. There were pumpkins floating above them and an assortment of Halloween themed food, including candy. Danny looked around, "Anyone know where Hermione is?"

Neville looked at him, "Patty Patelle said that she wouldn't come out of the girl's bathroom, she said that she'd been in there all afternoon crying."

Danny looked at Ron who shrugged, all of a sudden the doors to the great hall opened and Quirrell ran through the doors. He shouted, "Troll in the dungeon, troll in the dungeon!"

The room went silent and Dumbledore stood up, Quirrell spoke again, "Thought you ought to know." He then passed out and Danny felt like hitting his head on something, this seemed to happen every time things seemed at least fairly normal. Everyone started freaking out and Danny remained in his seat as he thought about the situation.

Dumbledore then shouted, "Silence!" The room immediately went quiet and everyone looked at him. He continued, "Everyone will please not panic, now prefects will lead their house back to the dormitories, teachers will follow me to the dungeons."

The students then started leaving the great hall and Percy lead them toward their dorms and Danny leaned closer to Ron. "How the hell did a troll get in here?"

Ron looked at him, "Not on it's own, trolls are really stupid, probably people playing jokes." Danny suddenly paused and pulled Ron aside and he looked confused, "What?"

Danny looked at him, "Hermione doesn't know what's going on, she's alone crying in a bathroom, we've got to find her." The two then ran off to find Hermione and after a minute or two Danny heard loud footsteps and he stopped Ron.

They soon saw a large shadow move across the wall and Ron spoke, "I think the troll left the dungeon."

Danny pulled Ron to the side so the troll wouldn't see them, as it passed Danny spoke, "Shit, it's going into the girl's bathroom." After a few seconds they heard a scream and Danny ran to the bathroom while Ron followed. When they ran in Hermione looked at them and Danny yelled, "Move, now!"

The troll broke more of the stalls with it's club and Danny picked up a piece of the broken stall and threw it at the troll, Ron did the same until they got it's attention. Hermione crawled out of the debris and crawled under the sink, the troll saw her and swung at her. She screamed and looked at them, "Help!"

Danny looked at Ron, "Grab Hermione and get her out of here, find the teachers if you can, I'll buy you some time."

Ron looked shocked, "Danny-."

"No arguments, go!" Ron nodded and ran toward Hermione while Danny shouted, "Hey ugly, I know it's Halloween but you don't need a mask with that horrifying face!"

The troll looked at him and went to attack him, Ron grabbed Hermione's arm and they bolted toward the door. The troll swung at him as they ran out and Danny jumped to the side and rolled before landing in a crouch. He growled, "Okay ugly, you want to fight, let's fight."

Danny blasted the troll's hand as he brought up his club to swing at him and the troll dropped the weapon. That seemed to make it mad because it ran at him swinging it's fists, Danny jumped and landed on it's back before jumping off and landing on the floor again. The troll hit the wall and it looked dazed, Danny blasted it again and it flailed it's arms, the troll managed to hit him before he could move.

Danny hit the wall and pieces of it fell on and around him as it broke from the impact, Danny shook his head to clear it. Danny shot it with an ecto-blast again and it walked backward a little, it ended up tripping on it's club and hit it's head. Someone opened the door to the bathroom as he slowly got up and rubbed his head, "Did anyone get the plates of the ugly ass bus that hit me?"
