"We are not going to lose the Quidditch Cup because of some lovey-dovey couple."

It wasn't a coincidence that James and Elizabeth walked a few feet behind Miraline and Finnick. It was all James. He saw them as they pass Madam Puddifoot's tea shop where he and Elizabeth spend their time and James insisted they step out and take a walk.

It was very weird of James. He hated the cold. But Elizabeth followed him anyway.

Elizabeth didn't realize that they were following Miraline and Finnick. She was too distracted by the eyes following them as they walked. It was always like this when she walked with James. Everyone was always looking. She would lie if she said she didn't like it.

But James's eyes focused on the pair of third year heading towards The Three Broomstick. He tried to slow down his pace so Elizabeth wouldn't notice.

"Wait" said Elizabeth suddenly,

James's stopped dead on his tracks. "Uh.. what?" he said as he was hoping she wouldn't realize that they were following Miraline and Finnick.

"Don't tell me we're going to Three Broomsticks. You know I don't like Butterbeer." She said frowning. "Besides, we already drink tea"

James let out a breath of relief, "I'll be the one drinking. You'll just have to enjoy my company."

"But James, I don't like the kind of people there." said Elizabeth, "I've told you this before. Don't you remember?" Elizabeth saw the disappointed look on his face and she added, "We could go to Zonko's"

James sighs as they proceeds to walk pass the three broomstick and into Zonko's.

Inside the Three Broomsticks, Miraline and Finnick are enjoying their Butterbeer. As they drink, a few students came up to their table and talk to Finnick. It was casual, asking him how Quidditch went and saying that he was the best chaser in Hogwarts at the moment.

Miraline just laugh at the sight of her friend getting praised, because he wasn't at all like this last year.

"That was crazy!" she said as his friends finally left, "When did you become Mr. Popular?"

Finnick smiled then shrugs, "I dunno. Since Quidditch?"

"Oh yeah! I've been meaning to ask you.." asked Miraline, "Why didn't you join the team last year? I'm sure you're good despite being in second year"

"Yeah, well. Do you want me to be honest or do you want me to be logical?" he asked raising his eyebrows,

"Both?" she said as she continue to sip her Butterbeer.

"Because of you" he said, "You didn't join last year, remember?"

Miraline's eyes widened as she almost chokes on her Butterbeer. She puts down her glass and said, "What? Are you serious? What did I do? Did I unconsciously threatened you or something?"

"I was going to attend the tryouts that day, but then I saw you and you were pretty sad about not making the team. I mean, you were really upset about it. I didn't blame you, though. It's your Captains fault. I heard he picked that bloke instead of you because he is the son of some Quidditch player."

A warm feeling reaches her chest as she smiled back at Finnick, "Yeah. It's okay though. Alex said he should've picked me that day."

"I can't believe it when you didn't make the team. You were one hundred percent better than that bloke!"  said Finnick as he drink the last drop of his Butterbeer,

"You are a really great Quidditch player. I guess I wanted this year to be the best Quidditch year, that's why I waited until you were on the team. It would be like a fight of the century!" said Finnick, even if he wasn't completely honest.

The Gryffindor had practice that afternoon, which Miraline attended. Miraline isn't afraid of James's prank anymore, She was surrendering herself to James. If he want to kill her, so be it. She hated homework, might as well die.

It was when they walked towards the Quidditch Field that James grabbed her arm violently, and Miraline instantly regret going to practice.

Miraline was about to scream in his face, but James cuts her off with a very firm voice, "I saw you with Finnick Brown."

"So?" she asked him, trying to free her hand.

"We are not going to lose the Quidditch Cup because of some lovey-dovey couple." He said more sternly. "It's such an absurd way to lose!"

"Finnick and I are not a couple." said Miraline, finally able to free her hand from his grip. "and Besides, How are you and that Elizabeth girl any different?"

"Well, for one, SHE IS NOT A QUIDDITCH PLAYER" James said, "Mark my words, Lynch! This will end badly. He will use you sooner or later. I can't take another lose."

But as always, Alex the Quidditch captain came to the rescue, "NOT AGAIN! BLOODY-HELL YOU TWO!" he said as he walked over, "CAN'T YOU FIGHT AFTER PRACTICE? MERLIN!"

Elizabeth saw everything from afar.
