"I told you i was just messing around with Lynch! I won't fall in love with her.."
Miraline is a very clumsy and reckless girl. She puts her wand in her sock because she's afraid to lose or break them. She's also almost always late to class, but today, she walked into the potions classroom alone and more early, hoping James would be there so she can apologize without a lot of people noticing. It was quite surprising to find him there with a few other students, she thought he would be late from pranking.
"Morning." said Miraline, as she put her books down. James is looking back from his seat, talking to Jason and Timothy who is sitting behind him.
He took a glance, realizing Miraline had just arrived, "Are you talking to me?" asked James teasingly as he turned his body around. She didn't answer, afraid that she could get mad if the conversation goes on like that. Knowing that the both of them would fight, Jason and Timothy started to talk on their own. Or at least, they tried to.
"So anyway," said Miraline after letting out a sigh. " I'm here early because i want to apologize about the whole... detention thing. You missed the first Quidditch practice because of it."
"I know," he raised an eyebrow and nods "sounds horrible doesn't it? someone sent an owl to my parents. Almost got a howler from mum! the first week of the third year and already got a detention."
James is trying to make Mira feel bad, and it's working. She bit her lips, thinking of what she should say next. "Sorry" was all that could come out from her mouth, and it comes out as a small voice that almost cracks.
James was holding laughter.
"Tut tut tut, you thought a simple 'sorry' would be enough? I was about to do great this year, you know?" James lied, getting detention was a normal thing for him. "So i cannot accept your halfhearted apology, Lynch."
Miraline lost her patience, mainly because she was feeling nervous, something she wasn't comfortable with. "What should i do then, huh? Do you know how hard it is to talk to you nicely when i wanted to break you neck every few minutes?" said Miraline loudly, making the two boys behind her jumped.
"You see this parchment?" James pull out the old looking parchment he held earlier. "It's not working because it's fake. Idiot brother replace it and looks like he's not very good on saving it properly, that somehow it ended up in Filch's office. And as you know, I can't afford getting more detention in the same week, thanks to you."
"What do you mean it's not working? It's a bloody parchment you nutter!" said Mira, quite confused, "There's something seriously wrong in that head of yours."
James smirks, "Either way, you're going to break in there and get the parchment that looked like this. Only then i will consider to accept your apology." said James proudly.
"What if i get caught?"
"Then we'll be even."
Miraline is really considering it. The guilt has been torturing her and she would very much like to be thinking about anything accept James Potter. Besides, she was sure she's not scared of Filch.
"Okay." She finally agrees, and James is little surprised that she did. " When should i get the parchment?"
"Later, before dinner. I would be waiting for you somewhere outside, so no need to worry." said James "I reckon Filch is always hungry"

"Are you crazy, mate?" asked Jason, as he, James, and Timothy walked down the stairs, "She's going to get in trouble"
