James Potter was known for a lot of things, mainly because he is the son of Harry Potter. But everybody knows he wasn't just a Potter. He was the prankster and the Quidditch player.
Unlike his brother and father, he was aware of his looks and loves to be the center of attention.
Every night at the common room, he would tell stories about how funny the prank he did that day, making the common room always crowded at night before bed. He, of course, had help from his friends, Jason and Timothy.
Today was not so different from the other day. Everybody was laughing as usual, until a certain black haired girl stomped her way into the common room. She eyed James furiously, and James noticed right away. She is Miraline Lynch.
James knew who she is, of course. They were in the same year and house. But they were nothing more than acquaintances.
"JAMES POTTER!" she shout in the middle of the common room, not caring what other people think. Everyone is eyeing her curiously, including James Potter. She stomp her way in front of James, looking straight at his brown eyes.
"How dare you prank my best friend in the worst possible time," She said through gritted teeth.
For a moment James didn't answer and just smirk, mainly because he was just laughing about the prank a few seconds ago.
"She was standing in the perfect place, of course she's going to get that old milk i have been saving since my sister was born." He said easily, as he continue to slump into the couch.
"He saved six bottles" Jason continued for him with a laugh. Mira gave Jason a look and he shut up right away.
"I never knew you were quite fierce," James said as he stood up from the couch and stand in front of her with a grin. "Look here, Lynch, if you don't want to get pranked, you better not act like this, and just avoid us and the rest of the Gremlins for the rest of your life. But that's probably an issue since i'm this good looking." he chuckled, followed by a few laughter from the others.
Little did he knew, she was avoiding him since first year, knowing that he is a prankster. That's why she never get pranked. But this year, it was weird, she never saw him anywhere. "Oh really? Well why does your face look very punchable right now?"
He let out a chuckle, "Careful with what you say. This year, Gremlins have a secret weapon." James gave me smug look. "It is given to me by my father, Mr. Harry Potter himself."
Then she punched his face right there, before he say another word. James kneel down in front of her without a slightest voice. The common room fell silent.
Miraline too, try not to scream in pain. She didn't know punching someone hurts. From what she have seen, all of them walked off with pride. Sure, she has strong arms, due to her talent on being a beater. But she never punched a face that hard, not to mention a bloody good one.
The whole room is whispering as she turns around and left the common room.
"Did you know that her father is the Aidan Lynch?" said Jason as he, James, and Timothy walked side by side.
"Really? I thought it was just a rumor!" James was getting all sorts information from Jason about Miraline. It's quite weird that he knew so little about her considering they've been in the same house for two years. Now that she'd punched him, he wanted to know at least a little about her, maybe so he can prank her a little.
"I don't know for sure, since she never confirms it. But she is a fan of Quidditch, i can tell you that."
"Of course, she is! Who isn't a fan of Quidditch?"
Timothy who is reading and walking the entire time, let out a long groan. "Do you guys have ever even seen a picture of Aidan Lynch? Of course she's his daughter! They look awfully similar." Timothy closed his books as he forgot where he left off. "It's surprising no one in Hogwarts knew about it."
"I'm surprise you didn't tell anyone about it!" Jason exclaimed.

If you are wondering why James is not that bad of a wizard, considering he always sleeps in classes, it's because he had help from a girl named Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Kinley is James' neighbor. She is considered to be a very pretty pure blood, who is sorted into Ravenclaw. She had long brown hair and blue eyes as bright as the sky.
James and Elizabeth often studied together. It's easier for him that way, he didn't want everyone to know he's not good at certain stuff. Only one person can know about that and maybe she could teach him a little, afterall she is a Ravenclaw.
"Heard you got punched last night" Elizabeth started. "I reckon it still hurts?"
They were in the library, on the very back of the the library to be exact. That's where James is comfortable to study.
"You heard about it already?" James took a seat in front of her. "Quite a rebel, she is, eh?"
"I don't know, she was nice from what I've heard." Elizabeth talked without looking up from her notes.
It was embarrassing for James, being punched by a girl. Although it did make his days a little bit more interesting than usual.
