•chapter 3•

after we were done playing in the pool we decided to roast marshmallows by the fire. I went to change out of my bathing suit and into some comfy clothes that I brought with me just in case.

I changed into some short spandex with a lose shirt. I got my flip flops back on and went to sit with everyone. "I don't know if I like you better in this outfit or a bathing suit." taylor smirked. "don't you have a girl friend?" I said. "yea , Mackenzie, she's perfect." he said. "then stop hitting on me." I giggled. "where do I sit?" I asked Nash. "the only other place to sit is next to Hayes." he said. "okay." I said and sat down next to Hayes. "um do you want to get under the blanket?" Hayes asked me. "sure." I said smiling. I got under and put my head on his shoulder. I got one marshmallow from the bag that Hayes was holding. I put it on the stick and put it in the fire. after it was golden brown I picked it off the stick with my finger and went over to the jacks. "eat it." I said to jack g. "ew no it's been on your disgusting finger." he said. I don't care if he said no I just stuck it on his face. "eww!" he said and tried to pick it off.

I ran back to Hayes and got under the covers again. "jacks gonna come for me!" I told him. "don't worry I'll protect you." he told me. we both covered out heads with the blanket when I saw jack coming for me. jack lifted the blanket up at slapped me in the face with a marshmallow. "ouch that hurt!" I yelled. "aww baby are you okay?" jack said in a baby voice. "no!" I said. jack leaned down and kissed the cheek with the marshmallow on it. "ew don't kiss me!" I yelled. "sorry! just trying to make it feel better!" jack yelled walking away.

"okay this is getting boring let's play truth or dare!" Nash said while I tried to get the marshmallow off my face. everyone agrees and we started to play. Nash started and he picked jack g.

"truth or dare?" Nash asked jack g. "truth!" jack said.

"have you ever kissed Lauren on the lips?" Nash asked.

"yea a lot of times in second grade because we liked eachother then, then one time for truth or dare last year." jack said.

"I remember that! it was disgusting! they made us kiss for 30 seconds. I literally counted down the seconds." I said making gagging noises. "hey! i thought it was okayyy!" jack said. "okay whatever." I said.

just as jack was about to pick someone Jacob and mahogany walk into the back yard! I met Jacob a bunch of times before and we were really close. I ran to him and jumped into his arms. "I missed you to Lauren." he said putting me down. Jacob was like a brother to me like jack and jack. "hi I'm Lauren." I said to mahogany waving. "I'm mahogany! nice to finally meet a girl around here!" she said. "yea I know right!" I said and we laughed together. we all continued to play the game and Jacob and mahogany joined us.

"okay taylor truth or dare?" jack asked taylor. "dare!" he said.

"say your best compliment. sorry I couldn't think of anything else." jack g said.

"okay." taylor said and walked over to me. "let's pretend your Mackenzie okay?" he said. "yea I guess." I said. "you know what would look good on you?" tay said. "what?" I said. "me." taylor said.

"hey!! that's my compliment!" matt said and we all laughed.

"okay my turn! Hayes truth or dare?" taylor asked Hayes. "dare!" he said. "I dare you to kiss Lauren for 15 seconds." he said. I could feel my cheeks getting bright red and I looked down then up at Hayes. "Nash set the timer." Hayes said and Nash turned on his phone to the timer app. "ready go." Nash said. we crashed our lips together and it felt perfect like they were made for each other. "okay your done." Nash said but we kept going for about 5 more seconds. we broke away and I looked up at him and smiled. it wasn't awkward at all, it was perfect
