•chapter 29•

I wake up next to hayes and he was still sleeping. I carefully slipped out of his grip so I could get changed and make his favorite breakfast which was pancakes and bacon. I changed into a new outfit which was similar to the one I had on before. I remembered that hayes wanted me to wear his merch so I asked nash to give me one without telling hayes. it says "so he calls me up and is like I still love you but I'm like your not hayes grier." I thought it was funny so I put it on. I kept my hair in the messy bun and put on my ugg slipper things.

I walked into the mini kitchen we had on the bus and saw cameron. I hoped I would see anyone besides him but I guess that didn't happen. "oh hey Lauren." he said.

"hey." i said and started to get to pancake mix and bacon pack out. I grabbed two extra packs of bacon because hayes loves bacon and I know all the other boys do too.

"so um about that kiss we had yesterday, did it mean anything to you?" he asked and scratched the back of his head nervously.

"I honestly don't know cameron, I mean I guess it meant a little to me. I guess I like you a little, and your cute but I don't know." I said and groaned.

"ok well think about it ok." he said and came over to hug me. "ok." I said and hugged back.

I made all the pancakes and two packs of bacon with the help of cameron. I put the done bacon on a plate with the rest of the bacon. "thanks for helping me with Hayes's birthday breakfast." I sad to cameron. "no problem. your gonna try to make his day the best aren't you." he said smiling. "ya he gave me the best birthday ever with the presents and party and stuff so I want to pay him back." I said and smiled. "well I'm sure he will love it." he said and left.

I put out the pancakes and bacon and waited for hayes to come in.

about five minutes later he came in and was closing his eyes. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAYES!" I screamed and ran to jump on him. I hugged him really tight, he was surprised but hugged back quickly. I pulled away and he said, "thanks Lauren."

I guided him to the small table and he sat down and shoved 3 pieces of bacon at once in his mouth. I laughed and only grabbed one and ate it. "thanks so much for making me breakfast Lauren I love it." he said and smiled. I smiled back and said, "no problem, I'm gonna make it the best day ever for you." I said.

"heyyy!!! you got my merch! how?" he said looking at my sweatshirt. "I got it from nash." I said. "ohh got it." he said.

I tried to make it the best day ever for him, and he said it worked. we went to laser tag, then his favorite restaurant for lunch, then watched his favorite movies. now we are getting ready to go to a party on the beach for him. all of his friends would be there so I hope he has a lot of fun. I changed into my mint colored dress and put on my converse.

"hayes can you help me put on my necklace?" I asked him. "oh ya sure thing." he said and put the necklace on me. "thanks you look great." I said. "thanks but you look way better." I said and he thanked me.

we arrived at the beach the party was on. the men who were decorating did a great job setting it up. there was tables and chairs every where and a dj was there too. many people were already there so hayes went to go see them because he hasn't seen them in a while.

one person who I didn't want there, was there. Maddy. I don't really mind her that much but she kind of annoys me so I just didn't want her there. I tried to keep my distance away from her the whole time.

hayes and I danced to a bunch of songs together and we both had a great time.

by the end of the party we had planned for fireworks to go off. I told mack about it and her and sammy were there. it kind of made me jealous that she was there with him but it's ok I guess. they were sitting down together on a blanket and really close together. hayes and I were sitting on a blanket together but not close and all.

when the fireworks started going off I saw sammy kiss mack and I got jealous. really jealous actually. she can't just date my ex that's not an option. hayes saw me staring at them and asked me if I was ok. "no." i admitted. "I'm really mad she's dating my ex and I'm pretty sure it's only to make me jealous because she thinks I have a thing with taylor, which I don't." I said and groaned.

"well I'm sorry about that, wanna show her that your not jealous?" he said. "and how will I do that?" I answered. "by kissing another boy that's not taylor." he said. "who would that be?" I said.

"me." he said.
