•chapter 8•

I woke up to sammy screaming in my ear. "Lauren wake up!" he said shaking me. "I'm up! I'm up!" I told him. "okay now get changed." he told me and left the room. I locked the door and got out my clothes the I had a jack j's house. it was a mint green crop top with white shorts and black converse. I changed them went to the bathroom to brush my teeth my do my hair. I brushed my teeth him put on some mascara.

after I was done I headed downstairs to everyone else. "okay I'm ready!" I yelled. "aren't you not allowed to wear that outfit to school?" sammy asked me. "yea but do I care what they say? no." I told him and he laughed.

we hopped in mrs Johnson's car with me in the front. i turned on the radio to the channel I wanted. "so Lauren how do you like sammy in this group of friends." mrs. Johnson asked me. "yea he's cool." I said looking back to him and he smiled at me.

when got to school we all got out. sammy looked really nervous. I got on my toes and whispered in his ear, "it's okay." he smiled at me then put his arm around me. we walked into the school and everyone was staring at sammy. they all cleared out the hallway so we could walk through. "is it always like this?" sammy whispered in my ear and I nodded. both jacks left to go to their lockers but I went with sammy to the office. we walked in and sammy told them his name, and got his schedule and locker number. "can I see your schedule?" I asked him. "sure." he said and handed me the paper. "I have all classes with you!" I told him and he smiled.

then the principal made an announcement on the over head speaker. "attention students there will be prom in two weeks! guys make sure to ask a girl! also you may not go with anyone who doesn't go to the school! have a nice day." he said and ended it. I can't go with hayes! I stopped in my tracks and felt like I was gonna cry. "Lauren what's wrong?" he asked me. "I can't go with Hayes!" I told him. "oh I'm sorry! he will understand! you can go with someone else." he said trying to get me to feel better. "okay, thanks for trying to make me feel better." I told him. "anytime." he said. we kept walking then he stopped and turned to me. "Lauren?" he asked. "yea?" I said. "um since you can't go to prom with Hayes, um-um do you wanna go with me?" he asked me. "of course!" I said and hugged him, he hugged back. we walked back to the lockers and I decided to call Hayes to tell him about the prom. he answered on the first ring and said,"hey babe aren't you in school?" "yea I need to talk to you about prom." I said sadly. "okay we are gonna go together right?" he asked. "about that the principal said we aren't aloud to go with people from different schools." I told him trying not to cry. "what?! who are you going with then?" he asked me. "I'm going with sammy." I told him. "wow sammy! I always knew that you liked him more then me." he told me. "Hayes i don't like him I like you!" I told him tears coming from my eyes. "yea I bet you don't, you talk about him all the time." he said. "not really only once or twice." I told him. "yea it's more then that. I think we should just break up. I like this girl Maddy anyway." he told me. "fine!" I said and hung up. I burst into tears and ran back to sammy trying not to let anyone see me. when I found him I ran into his arms and cried. "Lauren, what's wrong?" he asked me. I dragged him into a janitors closet and closed the door. "Hayes broke up with me." I said in between sobs. "what why?!" he asked me and hugged me. "he was jealous about us going together and he likes another girl." I told him crying. "I'm so sorry Lauren." he told me and rubbed my back. "can I tell you something?" he asked me. "yea sure." I said calming down a little bit. "I've always liked you since the day I met you, i know that was like two days ago but I really like you." he said. "really?! I like you to sammy." I told him and smiled. then he crashed our lips together and I kissed back. I could tell he was smiling during the kiss. it didn't feel this way when I was kissing Hayes, this was more passionate. after the kiss he hugged me then walked me to our class.

the day went by really fast and all I could think about was sammy, prom, and Hayes. he never told me about this Maddy girl before, I wonder why he never told me. we all walked home from school together.

•two weeks later•

today was the day of the prom. I bought my dress which was a mint green short strapless dress with a bunch of diamonds on the top and ruffled bottom. I got my makeup to be done professionally and also my hair. when I was done I walked downstairs in my sparkly heels. all the boys smiled at me when I came down. "hey guys you look nice." I told them. "you look gorgeous!" sammy told me. "thanks!" I told him and kissed him. oh yea sammy asked me to be his girlfriend last week and both jacks know about it. we went out side and took some pictures. one was with them all carrying me and me acting like I was laying down at the beach. then I took some with sammy. he went behind me and wrapped his arms around me. he kissed me check when all of our moms took the picture. then the next one he kissed my lips. that one was perfect. on our way there I posted that one and commented: prom with this guy❤️ and tagged him and the jacks.

when we got there we could hear the music from all the way out side. it was blasting and all the girls were dressed up nice and the boys looked handsome.

the prom was so much fun, I slow danced with sammy and stepped on his feet once or twice. I also danced with jack and jack too. I was as tall as jack j in the heels.

tonight was the best night ever.
