When Dallas dropped me off it was around midnight. I was hoping Grandma fell asleep so I wouldn't have to explain why I got in so late. I opened up the door quietly and examined the room before I fully stepped in. When I saw she was no where in sight, I quietly tip-toed down the halfway and into my room.

My hair was a mess and I had a big'ol cut on my forehead, and my wrists were bruised. My cheeks were red and puffy from where the man hit me. I have no idea why Dallas wanted to see a train wreck like me again. Probably just so he can get laid.

I grabbed a pair of shorts and a T-Shirt, and went across the hall to the bathroom, and got in the shower. The warm water felt so nice on my skin from all that cold weather. Once I was clean I got out and threw my hair up in a messy bun soaken wet. I examined myself in the mirror; I was short, curvy, and no thighgap.

I don't see myself the way others say I look. My Grandmother says I look like a splitting image of my Mom, but she was beautiful and I'm average. My dad looked completely opposite with Dark hair and eyes. He was tan, and had a small figure. his sister looks exactly the same as he did.

I shook my head and continued dressing and walked back to my bedroom. I pulled the covers nice and snug; falling asleep to cars and Dallas Winston's image in my head.

~Next Morning~

I woke up around nine thirty to the sound of music from the kitchen. I walked out to see my Grandma singing and dancing to an old picture of my Grandpa while she was making breakfast. They were so in love, when he died she didn't talk for weeks.

Thats when she decided to move from Tulsa Oklahoma, to NYC. I grew up there too, but after my dad died, I moved up here with her. As she got older, she had to quit her job. I than dropped out of highschool so I could take a full time job at the diner.

"Hey Grandma." I said taking a coffee cup down from the cabinet.

"Good Morning Darlin," She had the most upbeat tone in her voice as if she was the happiest person alive."Breakfast is almost ready."

"Okay, I'm just gonna go get ready until its done." I walked out of the Kitchen and into my room. I decided to grab a floral crop top and jean overals, and grabbed the same combat boots from yesterday. I put my hair in two low braided pigtails. I walked out smelling fresh toast and bacon (the usual breaksast).

"Hey sweetie, its going in ten. If you wanna get to work on time, you'd better be on your way." My Grandma said as she sat down in her chair.

"Okay, I'll be home later tonight. Love you!" I grabbed my jacket and walked out.

When I got to the Diner, it was the usual crowd and routine; say hi to Diane, coffee run, and taking the same orders.

"So how'd it go last night with that boy?" Diane asked as we both went back to give our orders to the Chef.

"We ended up running into each other later on." I said not including the events that took place.

"What's his name???" She said dragging out name.

"Dallas Winston." She just stopped and looked at me with a shocked glare.

"That boy is nothing but trouble. He might be just your age, but he is no good."

"He just seemed a little bit of a smart ass to me."

"Well he's more than that. Everything about that boy is bad news. Unless you like trouble, I suggest you back away." She walked away and we didn't say anything the rest of the day.

Around 8:45 he showed up sitting in the spot he did yesterday just smililing a devious smile at me.

"What do you want?" I asked him as I put the coffee pot onto the counters, and put my hands on my hips.

"I thought we agreed that we had a date at nine?"

"You're fifteen minutes early." I said as I grabbed the pot and started pouring other peoples drinks as I went from booth to booth. He than just followed behind me and continued talking.

"Than I'll wait fifteen minutes until you're done."

"I think I might take that extra night shift tonight." He leaned his head back and laughed.

"Oh c'mon Ba-" I slammed the coffee pot no the counter and whipped myself around to lock my eyes dead on his.

"I swear Dallas, you call me that one more time, I'll knock your teeth out." He put his elbow on the counter and leaned his head on his hand.

"I'd love to see you try" He replied with a smirk.

"I'm really starting to think that you don't want me to go out with you tonight."

"Hey, don't quit on me now, its just a simple date."

"Who said its was a date?" He grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him.

"Well I didn't get the memo." I looked up at him and smiled. I pulled myself away and finished my orders. When I went behind the bar, Diane came running over.

"What the hell?!" She whispered with a stern confused look.

"He gave me a ride home in exchange for a date, okay?"

"Sara, what were you thinking even getting a ride from him?!"

"Chill, its not like I'm gonna go steady with him. Its.just.a.date," I pulled off my apron and started walking over to Dallas. "Besides, I might like trouble." She just stood there with disapproval as she watched Dallas put his arm around my shoulder as we walked out of the Diner.
