Everyone just stood there in silence for a moment not quite sure how to react. I just looked at the stairs where Soda ran up in confusion. When I looked over I saw everyone staring at me blankly, except for Dallas, who looked confused.

"Uh, Sara? Can I talk to you, outside?" Steve piped up and walked to the door.

"Yeah" I stood up and followed him to the front porch.

"Whats going on with Soda?" I asked folding my arms for warmth.

"You see, Soda's never really gotten over you."

"Steve, we were thirteen!"

"I don't know why Sara, but he said that he wanted to see if there was till something there."

"What about Sandy?" I said shivering a little more.

"They have an on and off relationship. Its been off recently." Steve opened up the screen door."But you bringing that guy, really hurt him." Steve went inside leaving me with my thoughts.

I started to shiver a little bit more watching the leaves fall from the trees. Sodapop was my best friend, and before I left, all we had was a little fling. I don't know why in the world he would hold on to that though.

"Hey Sara, you okay?" I heard a small voice and turned around.

"Oh yeah, I'm fine Johnnycakes." I smiled as he closed the door behind me.

"What was all that about?" He said walking over, and watching the leaves fall too.

"I'll let ya know when I figure out myself." I smiled at him.

"Sara?" He mumbled a little bit.

"Yeah?"

"All those things you and Dallas said; they were true right?"

"Of course Johnny!" I pulled him into a bear hug and rested my chin on his head. "I promise. You'll be taken care of."

"Dallas seems cool." He looked up at me in the hug.

"Oh yeah?" I giggled a bit.

"Yeah, he's really tough." He laughed a little bit.

"Well that's just the way New York is."

"But you live there too, and you still seem the same to me." He sat down on the pourch steps.

"Yeah, but I'm always working so I don't get the full effect." I laughed sitting next to him.

"Do you like Dallas?"

"Little bit." I laughed elbowing his shoulder. "Just don't tell anyone."

"Don't tell anyone what?" Pony came out with his face lost and dazed.

"That she likes Dallas." Johnny laughed as Pony sat next to me.

"I'm gonna get you for that Cade!" I said chasing him down the steps into the yard laughing with Pony joining us. We all ended up running into each other and fell on the grass holding our stomachs laughing.

"Whats going on out here?" Two-Bit and Dally walked out on the porch while Dally looked at me with a smirk.

"Oh nothing." I laughed sitting up smiling back at Dally.

"SARA LIKES DALLAS!" Pony piped up with and jumped to his feet repeating it over and over again.

"PONYBOY I OUTTA KILL YOU RIGHT NOW!" I started to chase after him through the yard, while Two-Bit and Johnny cheered.

I than felt someones hands wrap around my waist and spin me around. It was Dally, with a big smile laughing at Ponyboy still screaming at the top of his lungs. He than pulled me closer and kissed me right than and there. I heard Two-Bit and Steve (I don't know when he got there) wolf whistling, and Pony and Johnny coughing and pretending to be sick. But every moment of that kiss was perfect.
