I woke up wrapped in Dally's arms like the night before. We just laid there in the moonlight as he held me close, comforting me as I cried softly into his shoulder. That was one thing Dally never did to me; take advantage of my feelings to his benefit. I've heard how he was in the past, and that's one of the reasons why it's so hard for me to accept him and these feelings.

It was 8;45am when I looked at the clock. I nestled my head under his chin, holding onto him like a scared child. There was something about him that made me feel safe and comforted by his presence. I felt his grasp hold me tighter, as he kissed the top of my head, than resting his chin on it.

"Good morning." I whispered leaning my head up to kis his cheek in return, than resting my head on his upper chest.

"Morning." He replied smiling, looking down at me.

"Thanks for staying with me," I said glaring back up at him. "You didn't have to because-"

"I would've stayed with you anyway. Even if it was just a normal night." He cut me off and than smiled.

"So I guess you're coming with me?" He grabbed my waist and pulled me up face to face with him.

"Someones gotta look out for ya." He smiled than kissed me gently and passionately. We laid there for a moment just kissing, when i decided it was time to get up and ready for work.

"Dallas, I gotta get ready." I said pulling apart from him with a giggle as he smiled pulling me in for one last kiss.

I walked over to my dresser and pulled out a gray sweater and a pair of jeans, than put on my converse. I put my hair in a high pony tail, and only put on massacre. Dally just examined me as he laid on his side on the bed.

"We'll be leaving on the 10 O'clock train after I get off work. We should be there by at least two tomorrow afternoon." I said grabbing my backpack and putting it on, than walking over and kissing him.

"Okay, I'll be by around nine fifty to come get you." He said as he got up and went out the fire escape.

I walked down the hall to see my grandma in the kitchen with a smile ear to ear. She probably knew that Dally was here and that he spent the night. She was buttering the toast and pouring her coffee when she finally spoke up.

"So you had a visitor again?" She smiled without looking up.

"Yeah, but it wasn't like that. He was just comforting me after I got off the phone with Darry."

"What happened to them Curtis'?"She walked over to the table and sat down eating her breakfast.

"Their parent were in a car accident," I said holding my breathe keeping the tears held back. "They didn't make it." Her expression dropped from a smile to a sympathetic look.

"I'm so sorry baby girl." She got up and walked over hugging me.

"I'm going down there tonight. I guess Pony and Johnny took it the hardest of them all." I said stuttering.

"Oh I wish I was closer to your daddy's side of the family." She said still continuing to be comforting and sympathetically nice.

"It's fine. I otta get to work," I said kissing her cheek than pulling away."Love you! I'll call you when I get there!" I said walking out the door.

"Love you too! Be safe!" She hollered back.

I got to the diner five minutes early this time to a perky Alex, and a giggly Diane. They were at the counter taking a break from going around taking orders.

"Hey girly! How was your date with Mister dreamy?" Alex said with a laugh.

"Oh it was fun I guess." I smiled as i put on my apron and took a seat on the bar stool.

"Hey ladies, guess what day it is!" Diane walked back over holding up three checks.

"Pay Day!" Alex squealed as she jumped up grabbing hers.

"How many more of these do you need till you need yet?" Diane asked handing me my check.

"I think I'm somewhere in the twenties now. But this one is going for this weekend."

"Whats this weekend?" Diane asked as Alex looked over with concern.

"Close friends of mine pasted away last night. I'm going to Tulsa for a little while."

"Did you put in notice?" Alex perked up.

"I did this morning."

"How long are you going?" Diane questioned me with a sympathetic voice.

"Probably no more than five days."

"Awe sweetie, I'm so sorry." Diane hugged me tightly, and Alex joined in.

"I think we should be getting back to work now." I said pulling away and grabbing a coffee pot and a notepad.
