The sun came through the window bright in the morning waking me up. Or was it Dallas's slight snore that woke me? All I know is that he looked perfect asleep.
Everything tough about him went away for a second. He almost looked like a little helpless child sleeping; like you could tell he went through a lot. I took one more glance at him, and snuggled myself right back inbetween his arm and chest, laying my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes.
All of a sudden I felt his grip gently tighten up around me. I felt his warm lips press against my forehead, than his chin rest on my head. He still had his jeans on, and I found myself wrapped in his leather jacket. I looked up at him and reached my hand up and started to run my fingers through his soft hair.
"Good Morning" His eyes fluttered open with a smirk.
"Good Morning." I softly smiled back him. I looked over to the clock and saw it was 9:30.
"Not again!" I jumped up and ran over to my dresser.
"What's wrong?" He lifted himself up onto his elbows.
"I'm running late, again!" I found a sunflower crop top and started to change into it.
"Well isn't this a nice way to wake up."He chuckled as he pulled himself up to sitting at the edge of my bed with a grin.
I threw my night shirt at him as I pulled on a pair of jeans and my converse. I threw my hair up in a ponytail, and whipped off the dark circles under my eyes from last nights makeup.
"I should spend the night more."He came over in front of me with a corner smile.
"Maybe."I smirked looking up at him as he grabbed my waist, and I rested my hands on his chest.
"Sounds like a plan."He leaned down and kissed me.
"Dal," I pulled away slightly."As mush as I'd want to stay here, I have to get to work." I looked over to the window and than back at him as he followed my gaze.
"Okay, I'll see ya later kid." He smiled and went out the window.
I ran out into the kitchen and grabbed the toast on the counter waiting for me.
"Who's your friend?" My grandmother said with a laugh as she made eggs with her eyes never leaving the pan.
"Excuse me?"I replied in shock. How could she know?
"For the past two years, I've heard everything and everyone that's stepped foot in this Building. I know that you look for me in the doorway before you come fully inside after work, and I know that there's been a boy these past three nights outside the building, and last night he came in through your window." She laughed at her own response as she put the eggs on her plate and walked over to the table and sat down taking a sip of her coffee. She just sat there smiling, enjoying me just standing there speechless for a second.
"Nothing happened..."I said standing pathetically lost for words.
"Oh, I know."She smiled at me ear to ear. "You better get moving if you wanna get to work on time." She took another sip of her coffee still smiling.
"Love ya grandma." I kissed her head and ran out the door.
