I grabbed his neck as I got up on my tiptoes. He than lifted me up a little bit and placed his hands on my cheeks pulling my lips closer to his.
"Dal?" I pulled a little bit away.
"Yeah?"
"Why did you come after me tonight?"
"I never left, I just needed time to cool off."
"Why didn't you leave than?"
"I have absolutely no idea." He pulled me in a kiss again, except softer and more gentle.
I didn't know exactly how these things were supposed to go. I never got this close with anyone before Dallas. I never had the time for Romance after my dad died. I only had Sodapop when we were thirteen, and I lived in Tulsa with my dad. It was only a young little fling.
Soda and I were best friends, me and the Curtis brothers. That's why, when I had to move to NY, I asked them to watch over Johnny until I got back.
'What's wrong?" Dallas pulled back a little bit when he realized I was lost it thoughts.
"Oh, sorry. I'm just thinking."
"You sure?"
"Yeah. What time is it?"
"Around 11ish"
"I think I should head back home." I said pulling back more releasing myself from his grasp.
He put his arm around my waist and walked me back to the apartment building.
"I'll see ya later, OK?" I turned around and kissed his cheek.
"Okay, see ya later kid." He said taking out a cigarette and lighting it.
I walked up to my apartment and made sure my grandma was in bed before I fully got in. I sighed and once I walked in my door I started to strip down and put on my Pjs, and brushed out my hair.
I walked over to my bed when I almost jumped out of my skin. There was Dallas with a big old smile on his face on the fire escaped.
"Jesus Dallas! How long were you there?!" I said opening up the window.
"Since you walked in." He smirked and climbed through the window and sat on my bed.
"Stalker much?" I looked at him serious for a second when he held up his hand saying just a little bit, and laughed.
"Why are you here?"I asked.
"I didn't wanna say goodnight." He said grabbing my waist and pulling me closer as started kissing me.
"Dal, not tonight." I said pushing away.
He just sighed and flopped himself no the bed."Can't we just lay here for tonight?"
"Sure thing." He said grabbing my waist puling me to lay next to him.
I laid my head on his chest, as he held me close to him. That night I fell asleep to the beat of his heart thumping.
