I woke up the next morning with my eyeliner smudged on my face and a pounding headache. I groaned as I sat up in bed, realizing I was still wearing clothes from yesterday and that's when it hit me. Everything that Ace and I had said.

"Ugh, I can't believe I said that stuff to him." But then I remember he said some really messed up shit to me as well. I got up and walked to the bathroom and took a shower and washed my hair. I walked back to my bedroom and I changed into a simple white long sleeved shirt and some comfy pajama pants. I tied my hair into a ponytail and slipped on some fuzzy socks and grabbbed my phone answering texts from people that I hadn't answered yesterday.

I was lounging on my bed when my door opened. Ace just stood there and looked at me with regret in his eyes.

"Hey..."

I nodded and shifted my eyes.

"Things got really out of hand and I'm sorry that I said those things to you I shouldn't have gone that far."

I stared at him. "You really think a simple sorry is going to fix this?" I got off my bed and headed toward the door, getting closer to him.

"What you said really hurt my feelings and I know I said some things I probably shouldn't have said but it wasn't meant to hurt you but you...you went way to far and brought something up from my past that I didn't mean to do and that I did unintentionally. You brought that up and spit it in my face. What did it make you feel like some kind of Big, strong man that you didn't ignore a friend but that I did? I made a lot of mistakes growing up that I'm still trying to apologize for. We all make mistakes."

"I understand that I just..."

"Just what? Didn't think twice and it was in the heat of the moment? I thought that too but when I remember how you looked yesterday it was obvious that you really meant it. I mean seriously tell me how you feel? Cause clearly there's a lot that you are holding out on and not speaking of so let's clear your mind. Go on I'm listening."

He stared at me. He cleared his throat and begun talking.

"I guess I'm still hurt from how you treated me during high school. It really hurt me I mean you left me by myself to go hang out with your boyfriends. Even when you were with me it felt like you didn't care and like your attention was always divided."

"I get that Ace andI'm sorry that I hurt you like that I didn't mean.."

"I'm not finished." That shut me up.

"I'm even more hurt that back when we were 13 you started to drift away from me and that created a rift between us and it's caused us to come to this point."

"We said we would never talk about that again..."

"Yeah?! Well I don't care I want to talk about it! We need to stop avoiding it! Look when we were 13 we kissed and you said it was a mistake and that it should of never happened. Do you understand how much that hurt me? No because you only thought about what you wanted or what you thought was best."

I just stared at him seeing the pain written across his face.

"I...I didn't know it hurt you that much...you said yeah it shouldn't have and then acted like everything was normal. Why didn't you just tell me how you felt?"

"Because you wouldn't have cared, ha I mean in the next two weeks you had a guy that you had started to date. I didn't want to ruin your happiness."

"Ace..." I spoke softly, All this time he was actually holding in so much and it all just came out at once.

"I'm sorry, I just I'm sorry."

"Yeah I know, So am I."

"I think we're just both gonna need some time apart to really get our shit together because right now, things have just reached an all time high of tension." He nodded his head.
