HAWAK-HAWAK ni Daemon ang kamay ng kasintahan at dinadampian iyon ng maliliit na halik.
He is waiting for her to wake up. Hindi pa nakakausap ng binata ang healer na tumingin dito dahil hindi man nito gustong iwan ang dalaga ay kailangan nitong gawin upang asikasuhin ang mga tao. They can't be here in hell for too long. It's not their place. It will make the balance to turn into chaos.
Though they are already dead ,still their soul we're missing. Hawak -hawak iyon ni William. Hindi man alam ni Daemon kung anong meron doon ay karapatan pa rin ng mga tao na makuha iyon upang makatawid na sila. Either heaven or hell.
He felt the presence of the healer outside the door. Thanks to his ability. He didn't bother to look at him. At first, she hesitant to open the door but enter the room after a minute.
"King..." Ani nito ng tuluyan ng makapasok sa loob ng silid.
"How's my mate?" Tanong niya ng may awtoridad sa boses. Telling him to be careful for what she's going to say.
"Well..." She cleared her throat. "She have a little fracture in her ankle but don't worry she's going to be fine." She paused. "And there's something you need to know about her. Just one question for you to answer? Is one of her parents a demon just like us?"
His forehead knotted. Nagtataka sa itinanong ng healer. "Yeah. Why? Is there something wrong with her?" Hindi na niya naitago pa sa boses ang sobrang pag-aalala.
"She's perfectly fine, King. Except for the fact that she's turning into one. Demon."
Napatuwid siya ng upo sa narinig kasabay ng bahagyang paggalaw ng mga daliri ng kasintahan. Halos pigil ang hininga niya habang inaabangan ang unti-unting pagmulat ng mga mata nito. Bumungad sa kanya ang inosente at namumungay nitong mga mata.
"Girlfriend..."
"Daemo-Ouch!" Daing nito at agad na napahawak sa may paanan ng subukan nitong gumalaw. Maagap naman itong naalalayan ni Daemon.
"Careful."
"B-boyfie, it hurts. My ankle." She cry in pain.
"Shh...it's going to be fine." Pag-aalo ni Daemon sa dalaga. Nilapitan niya ito at dinampian ng isang halik sa noo. Mukha namang epektibo ang ginawa nito dahil bahagyang kumalma ang dalaga.
Nagbukas sara ang pinto ng tahimik na lumabas ang healer. She didn't say any word before leaving King Daemon and his mate Queen Cassidy not wanting to disturb them.
"B-boyfie?..." Cassidy move her body multiple times. "Bakit parang may nag-iba sa'kin?" She asked him wondering what is happening on her. Ginalaw-galaw din nito ang mga paa bago sandaling natigilan. Lumayo ang dalaga sa kasintahan at tumayo.
She's fine! She can still walk! But what is wrong? She can feel it. Cassidy knew something has change.
Muling bumukas ang pinto at iniluwa niyon ang healer na muling bumalik. She's holding something in her hands that made Daemon to wonder. What is that thing?
'What's wrong with her?' Daemon asked the healer through mind.
'King, it's starting...' Tanging sagot nito bago makarinig ng isang nabasag na bagay.
Automatically, Daemon and the healer look at where the sound came from. He gasped seeing Cassidy holding a broken glass with a stunned face. She look very shocked.
"I-I didn't do anything." She whisper. "I don't understand. Why the glass broke so easily just because of my touch? How on earth could that happened?" Hinarap nito ang binata. "B-boyfie? Anong nangyayari sa'kin? Bakit ganito?" Cassidy cried why holding her own wrist.
Tumayo si Daemon mula sa pagkakaupo at nilapitan ang nobya. Hinila niya ito pabalik sa kama at pinaupo. "Girlfriend..." He started. "I'll explain to you later. Okay? Please rest." Ani Daemon sa nakikiusap na tinig. He kissed her forehead at inalalayan sa paghiga. "Promise, I will still be here when you wake up. I love you." He said. 'Sleep...' Using one of his ability, Cassidy fall asleep in no time. He looked at the healer emotionless.
The healer gulp in fear. Scared that if she move a little she will die.
"Tell me..."
"King..." Her voice cracked a little. Pilit niyang tinatagan ang sarili. "You see, kahit simpleng galaw lang ni Queen she can already damage it. But don't worry, it's because she turned. She can't still control her strength. So, without knowing, she hold things like she hold before." Bawi niya ng marinig ang pag-angil ng kanilang Hari. "Unintentionally, she damaged things off."
Natahimik ang binata na tila nag-iisip.
The healer cleared her throat again. Ipinakita nito ang tila isang tea bag. "This is a kind of drug to weaken a demon. It might help her. Since, she's human before...it'll be hard for her to control her strength. Well, if you just want to. I'm assuring you that this is safe and no side effects. Binawasan ko na rin ang dosage ng pangpahina nito." Paliwanag nito.
"I'll take that." Kinuha ng binata ang tea bag mula dito.
The healer bowed her head. "I leave you, then. Just call me if something happen."
Daemon nodded his head. Looking down to her Queen, sleeping peacefully in infirmary bed. Tinanggal niya ang sariling sapatos at umakyat sa higaan. Laying beside his mate. Hinapit niya ito sa bewang at pinaunan ang kanyang braso. Leaning towards her, he sniff her scent.
He relax. With a smile on his face, he fell asleep with her.
