I knew that she was depressed about me leaving, but that was nothing new. We go through the same thing every time, she cries and then I feel guilty as hell, that will never change.

She was right, the hat was no disguise at all. I was recognized immediately, but still made it to my gate on time. I fell asleep for part of my six hour flight. I had a pounding headache and by the time we landed, I just wanted to get to my hotel and get something to eat.

I caught a cab and I saw that I had a few texts and voicemail messages. One was Shannon telling me that I needed to call him as soon as possible. I didn't even listen to the others. I knew by the sound of his voice that something was wrong.
I dialed Shannon's number and he answered on the first ring. "Man, I don't know what you did, but your girl packed all of her shit and left."

"What do you mean she left? I just left there this morning and everything was fine." I was so confused why he was even over. "Why did you go over there?"

"I went over to ask her if she wanted to go with me and a few friends to a movie later. When I got there, she was crying and bringing her bags out to the car. All she said was that you are a liar and a cheating bastard. What the fuck did you do?"

Then I got Arianna's text.
-I missed the flight, I'm sorry, got confused by the time. I'll just meet you there. I miss you, baby. See you soon. By the way, your new maid is great.-

"Shit. Alright, I gotta go. I'll tell you about it later." I got out of the cab feeling like I was going to be sick. I checked in and went straight up to my room. Placing my bag on the floor just inside the door, I pulled my phone out and tried to call her and knew she wouldn't answer. After the second try, I knew that she turned her phone off.

I shook my head in frustration. Dialing Arianna's number, I already knew what happened. She answered, "Finally! I've been trying to call you. I missed my flight."
"I got your text. You went to my house, didn't you?"

She giggled, "Yes, sorry, but you wouldn't answer your phone and left me no choice."

I laid back on the bed. "I asked you not to do that. You just destroyed my relationship I want you to know." I could feel the tension in my body. The anger overwhelmed me.

"I could apologize to you, but I wouldn't mean it. I love you Jared. I didn't tell her about us, I just said that we were good friends." She laughed and I knew that she was lying. She finally accomplished her goal.

"Don't call me anymore, Arianna." I disconnected the call and dropped the phone down, listening to my ringtone as she relentlessly called me at least twenty times. I refused to turn it off in hopes that Ava would call me.
