I walked inside and straight to Sierra's bedroom. A few minutes later my sister came in and closed the door behind her. "Look Ava, I'm really sorry. He called me and I didn't know what to do. He told me that he was flying to Vegas and I know how you can be. You always get mad and then once you have time to calm down, you come to your senses."

"This is so wrong! You're my sister!! I came here to get away from him, don't you understand that? I don't want to see him. God! Why would you do this to me?" I asked, so annoyed with her.

She walked over to her nightstand on the opposite side of the bed and picked up a tissue. Handing it to me, she sat down on the edge of the bed next to me. "I know you're hurt and you feel betrayed, but just hear him out. That man loves you, I can see it in his eyes when he talks about you." She rubbed her hand up and down my back trying to soothe me.

"I'm guessing you're allowing him to stay here, right?" I already knew the answer. Sierra didn't have a mean bone in her body and would give you the shirt off her back if needed, but if things got out of control, she also wouldn't hesitate to tell his ass like it is. I couldn't stay angry at her.

"Come on, I wasn't about to tell him to leave. He just wants to talk to you. Sleep on it, alright?"

"As long as he sleeps in a different room, no way will I share a bed with him." I huffed, walking into the pretty and fancily decorated guest room. The other bedroom door was closed and I was sure he was inside. After changing my clothes, I sauntered out to the kitchen to get something to drink. I just wanted to get my shit together so that I could close myself in my room for the rest of the night.

I was exhausted and entered the bathroom to brush my teeth. When I was finished, I opened the door only to find Jared just leaning against the frame. I rolled my eyes and walked past him.
"Seriously, you're really not going to talk to me?" He asked as I completely ignored him, moving quickly around him and slipping into my room, slamming the door closed behind me. It was a long awful day and all I really wanted, was to try and sleep, to not feel anything. I took my phone out and began to read the outrageous number of texts that he sent. There was a text from an unknown number sent to me tonight. When I opened it, I saw photos of Jared and Arianna. I knew the unknown number was her. Dropping the phone on the bed next to me, I finally fell asleep.

In the morning, I sat up and stretched, not feeling any better. I got up out of bed and darted into the bathroom before making my way to the kitchen. I thought I was going to be able to have a cup of coffee and sit enjoy some peace and quiet, but I was mistaken. "Still not talking to me?" I heard him coming from behind me as I picked up the mug and took a sip. Ignoring him, I sat down at the table and watched plop down across from me. He put his hands over his face, clearly frustrated.

"Where is my sister?" I asked, watching him drop his hands, shocked that I spoke.

"She left to give us some privacy." The bags under his eyes were dark. "I would never ever ruin what we have by cheating on you. Arianna is nothing to me. As I've said, we were close, but that was years ago. She's seen me out a few times and she got my number from a mutual friend, Ava. She texts a lot, but there's nothing between us."

The more he spoke, the more frustrated I became. "She came to the house! She knew that your flight was at five Jared!" I was raising my voice and my hands were beginning to shake. "Have you been with her since then at all?"

"Ava, it was years-"

"HAVE YOU HAD SEX WITH HER SINCE THEN? Yes or no?" I demanded.

"Yes." He closed his eyes and sat back in his chair, realizing I wanted to hear no more. I immediately got up and left the table.
