In those days you dressed up when seeing a broadway show. I wore a dress that was form fitting and had spaghetti straps, with a scarf slung around my elbows.

I looked up with a grin, and at the people whispering and murmuring around us. How dare all of us come to see a play known for being filled with sex and vices on Christmas Day?

Maybe it didn't matter because by the time the play ended it would be December 26th. I found my seat and looked at the drawn curtains. It was dimly lit, and people found their seats.

Finally, the curtains opened and the audience clapped as the stage was revealed. The play planned out in a slow and suspenseful manner. Brando's character was unapologetically antagonistic.

I watched, jealously, constantly reminding myself it was just a play. He was acting, she was acting, they all were just acting. This was his job, this was his craft, don't act out. I knew Marlon had many lovers, especially simultaneously with me, yet something about this made my skin crawl.
