"You two made me have a heart attack!" Linda exclaimed as we sauntered to her slowly and laughing. "Mom, we are fine." Bella said. "We got caught up in the Starbucks line and wanted to go to Nike real quick and lost track of time." I added. "Sorry." Bella and I said in unison. "It's okay girls, but Liv we have to get you home." There are five people who can call me Liv other than my family, Bella and her family, Rylan, Haylee and Jake. Jake is my longest friend. We have known each other since Preschool. We hopped in the car and I got a text from my mom, "Hey Sweetie! Softball is cancelled and so is school tomorrow because of the snow! Have fun!" I asked her if Bella and I could hang out afterwards because it was only 4 PM. "Of course! See you later!". Great. We pulled into Bella's driveway with the snow coming down hard. There was already a good foot of snow on the ground and more to come. I had only been at Bella's house for an hour when I got a call from my mom. She told me that all the roads have been closed due to the snow and that I would have to stay at Bella's. Of course, we were fine with that. We told her mom and she was super okay with me staying because Bella's brother was stuck at his friends house too. About twenty minutes later the power went out. That also meant that the heat went out. We started a fire in the fireplace and ate some chips. We didn't want to use our phones because if they died we wouldn't be able to charge them. At about one AM, Bella and I fell asleep next to the fire. The next morning, the power came back on and we had heat again. The snow was still pounding down. Linda informed us that we wouldn't have school tomorrow and that all the roads are still closed. I charged up my phone and called Rylan. We talked for a bit while Bella was in the shower. Once she got out I showed and then we all played some board games. I won all of them. Bella got mad because I kept beating her, but then we went outside and went sledding. Yes, we are 14 but can't we have fun too? Soon, we were frozen to the bone. We went inside and made Peppermint Hot Chocolate and facetimed a bunch of people. We turned her bedroom into a fort which was later ruined by her dog, Marley, and had a massive Nerf Gun war. We were acting like a bunch of five year olds. We crashed on the couch around 11 pm. Another snow day. We organized Bella's room, which was a disaster from the day before and mainly cleaned from yesterday. Tomorrow the snow was supposed to stop and the roads were to be opened. Boy, were we wrong.
