Day three at Bella's and I was super bored. We created a YouTube channel and made a few videos, watched some TV and attempted some Pinterest hacks. Hint the attempted. My mom texted me and said that the roads should be open later so I could come home. I was relieved but also sad. I was having so much fun at our lock-in. The day went on and we did our nails, went sledding again and this time, made the mistake of going on the ice. Bella lived near a little lake that was usually frozen solid. Usually. The two feet of snow had put so much pressure on it that it started to crack when we stepped on it and we fell through but luckily it was only a few inches deep. My phone rang and I looked down to see what was happening. It was Rylan so I answered. He told me that his dad was being rushed to the hospital because he broke his leg. Rylan was in tears and I could barely understand him. After calming him down, he said that he would need a ride to school for the last three days before Christmas Break. He lived right on the way to school, so we could easily pick him and his two sisters up. My mom called me about twenty minutes after to tell me that she was on her way to pick me up and I told her about Rylan. She was super okay with it because she knew "they would do the same for me". Rylan's parents and mine all went to high school together, so they already knew each other.
The next morning was hectic. I had to be at school an hour early for the play rehearsal and we had to pick Rylan up. We left an hour and a half before I usually wake up. We got to Rylan's house late because it was still snowing. Welcome to Michigan. We arrived to school without a minute to spare. I raced inside because I knew Mrs. Marble would lose her marbles if I was thirty seconds late. I was the first one there. Not that big of a surprise because if there is anything my class is known for, it's not being on time. Mrs. Marble came running in and started yelling because I was the only one there. Not my fault. I shrugged it off and started setting up and getting into costume for our dress rehearsal. Bella walked in a few minutes later. "Glad to see everyone showed up." she said sarcastically. "Watch out for Mrs. Marble. She's being even crazier than usual." Bella shook her head and we continued to set up the backdrop. We were supposed to be rehearsing twenty minutes ago. I had lost track of Rylan which I probably shouldn't have done. "I am going to go find Rylan." I told Bella. She nodded and went on. "Can I go to the bathroom?" I asked Mrs. Marble. "Yes, of course." she said with a sigh. I opened the door leading out of the auditorium and glanced around for Rylan. I walked down the hall a little bit to find him sitting in a corner on the verge of tears. As soon as he saw me, he started crying. I ran over to him "Rylan what's wrong?" I said nervously. He buried his head in his arms as I put my arm around him. He looked up and we locked eyes again. He whispered "I love you." As we continued starting at each other. I said it back and we both knew what was going to happen next.
