Then it happened. We all knew it was coming. What we wished we knew was who was standing right there. "Looks like you are having a great bathroom break, Olivia." said Mrs. Marble as she glared with demons in her eyes. "Both of you, OFFICE! NOW!" she barked. Rylan and I stood up slowly and walked to the office. It was at the other side of the school so on the way there, we talked about what we could do about this situation. "I'll take the blame." I said. "No, I will. It's my fault." Rylan replied with a sigh. "No because I've never gotten a detention so the chance of us getting in less trouble is less." I replied. Rylan just shook his head and opened the office door. Our principal Mrs. Kinney, was insane but nice in the same way. "Well I normally don't see you two down here. What's the occasion?" she asked as she motioned us back to her office. Mrs. Marble came running in and explained the whole thing. We did make a deal with them, though. Our parents never need to know about this . They agreed and gave us a warning. They thought that would stop us. Idiots. I knew my way around that school better than anyone. My Dad helped out with building it last year, so I was here most of the time. I knew every good hiding spot that they would never find. I knew how to get on the roof.
*The next day*
First Hour on Wednesday meant Theology Of the Body with Father Kent and Mrs. Marble. Rylan and I were in the same class for that. It was probably the worst class ever. We had to watch the cheesiest videos. It sucked. Rylan and I had a plan though. 8:55 I ask to go to the bathroom. 9:05 Rylan asks to go. That gives me 10 minutes to steal the keys from the office and unlock the passage to the roof. Plenty of time. I had practiced this a few times after school hours. 8:40 goes by. I make eye contact and nod at Rylan. This was happening. 8:50. 8:55. "Mrs. Marble, may I use the bathroom?" I asked quietly. "Of course. Just hurry back." I chuckled in my head at that. I didn't grab a hall pass or anything. I speed walked out of the room and down to the office. I looked inside and didn't see anyone. Perfect. I grabbed the keys and ran out. "Where do you think you are going with those?"
