"Finally." We both said as we walked in through the door and dropped the bags on the floor. "That was a lot less stuff a mile ago." I said as I flopped on the couch. Rylan nodded his head and dropped his bag. We started unpacking the groceries and cleaning. I hadn't been home much in the past week so stuff was everywhere. We were in the middle of cleaning when we heard a knock on the door. "Who could that be?" Rylan asked as he stopped putting dishes into the dishwasher. He walked over to the door, "Oh crap." he said with a sigh. "Who is it?" I asked throwing a box of crackers into the cabinet. "Grandma Lucy!" Rylan said fakely and held the door open for her. "Who the hell are you?" she said walking through the door and hitting Rylan with her purse. "Where's my princess?" she exclaimed walking into the kitchen. I rolled my eyes as I turned around. "Grandma Lucy! What a lovely surprise." She threw me into her arms for a hug. I glanced over at Rylan, shaking his head. "How's your Mom?" she said releasing me from the death grip hug. "Good." I said continuing to put groceries away. "Honey let your door boy get that." she said glancing at Rylan and motioning him to come over. "No, no. He's not my door boy. He's my boyfriend." I said, seriously. "Oh." she said looking him all over. Rylan and I exchanged looks and went on with our cleaning.
"Well, I'm going to take off." Grandma Lucy said, putting on her coat and shoes. "Okay you do that." I said sarcastically. Rylan chuckled and whacked his head on the counter he was under attempting to grab the last bag. She never said bye or anything. She just left. "That certainly was interesting." Rylan said taking his juul out of his pocket and taking a hit.
