i need not gold
nor pearls, nor diamonds
not food, not coal
nor fancy garmentsi praise to gain
i praise to receive
a gun of compliments
built to deceivei thought you'd be wise
to not trip over words
took your time to realise
i'm not staying for desserti wish to obtain
i wish to retrieve
who should you trust?
who should you believe?you've mounted quite high
on the back of your horse
you'd ought to keep an eye
to not be curled up in remorse.but alas!—too late
you end up all alone
it's been a long wait
but i'd killed birds without a stone.
