Christmas Was Good For One Yikes For The Other

M.B.' S pov

I disappeared from Theo's apartment and appeared in Liam's house. I went through the presents grabbing Theo's and Malia's making a portal for them to transfer to Theo's, "What are you doing?" Liam asked sitting in the kitchen staring at me,
"Grabbing Malia's and Theo's presents." I said sighing, "They're really gone?" He asked looking at me he didn't look as bad as Theo but I could tell he was feeling something, maybe it's because he still doesn't believe in the whole Mate bond thing. "Yes, did you want them to stay here and pretend that everything was all fine and dandy?" I asked, I finish teleporting the presents and sat down at the table with him.

"I mean is he really going to die?" Liam asked drinking something. "Liam who are you talking to!?" It was that boy,
"No one!" Liam answered, "Eventually, yes he's trying to suppress it as much as he can with his fake smiles, small laughs, and hugs but his pain is so much I can actually feel it and I shouldn't be able to." I said looking into his brain. But nothing was happening he wasn't thinking of anything, "I should go." I said teleporting back to Theo's. His nose went up into the air and his eyes started to water. Shit I quickly turned my smell to roses and his head went back down.

Theo's pov

I swear I could smell him, Whatever he's an asshole anyway, "Let's put up the tree kids!" Yelled and watched as they ran out
"We have a tree?!?" Malia yelled she seemed happy, I nodded pulling the tree out of the closet along with everything else we needed. We started taking it out of the box and setting it up, we had some laughs and we heard clicks here and there but we kept putting it up and having fun.
When the tree was finished we all hugged and stood by to look at it. The final click went off and we turned around to see him holding already printed pictures I put them on shelves that were already there.
"Perfect." I said with a small smile on my face. Dinner was placed on the table within a matter of seconds.

"Thank you." I said looking over to my friend who just nodded, We all sat down and ate dinner, Tomorrow Christmas... then school. I ate my food went into my room did some pushups and I took a shower. I washed away every word and touch he's said to me, every memory washed way and went down the drain.
I got out of the shower and put on some boxier briefs and shorts. When... no... Ugh this pain is way too much. Did I ever show him I didn't love him? Was it me?
Am I just not good enough? I laid down on my bed and got under the covers.
I plugged my phone into my charger and closed my eyes.

Just gotta be really happy for one more day and it'll all be over. I can continue living life on my own with my boy Nolan
And I'd never have to see his face again.
I was about to let my eyes fall when the door to my room opened, "Can't go back home now it's too late the boyfriend will get mad. I'll just get up early and leave to make him breakfast." My friend said walking in and laying down on my bed
I rolled my eyes before closing them again.

*morning*

I woke up to Nolan screaming at me while Malia was jumping on the bed. "Wake up!!!" They yelled, God I never realized how these 2 were such children. I laughed getting up and walking out of the room to see. The trees lights were on and a bunch of presents were underneath it, "Alright children I'll hand you one each so I can see what you guys got." I said looking at how they ran and sat down the floor in front of me. This was Malias first Christmas since she had been turned back into a human. I handed Nolan a present then handed Malia one. Malia opened it seeing all the clothes I had got her. She smiled brightly at the flannels and shorts she pulled out of the bag.

Once she finished Nolan ripped into the paper and looked at the box before his eyes started to tear up. "Nolan what's wrong? Hey bud it's okay if you don't like it I can return it." I said as he looked down at the box in his lap. He shook his head, "It's great I just This is too much." He said and looked at me I shook my head, "You're gonna need it." I smiled and he gave me a small smile back Malia gave him a high five. I handed Malia a box and Nolan a bag. Malia pulled out a pair of shoes that matched her outfits "Awesome they aren't heels!!" She yelled laughing
Nolan opened the bag to see a small box he looked confused. Then there was a knock on the door and I went to go open it.

"Oh hey I uhm Nolan said it was fine for me to um be here?" Gabe said although it sounded more like a question I chuckled and let him. Once I got to my spot, i handed Gabe a gift that was under the tree. What? I had to shop for the kid even if I didn't like him! "Nolan what'd you get bud?" I asked and he showed me a brand new Rolex that came out of the box
Uhm what? "Who was that from?" I asked and Nolan looked for the little piece of paper and handed it to me,
'Be a good kid for your dad I hope you like the gift though'

I smiled god he always did this. Gabe opened his gift and he handed me a piece of paper. "That's for you." He said and opened the box gasping. I was confused until I saw he had a matching watch but it was in a different color. Great now they're matching! I looked at the note. 'Couldn't let the poor boy feel left out...get better at gift shopping!! Are you serious a pair of socks!'

I handed Malia another one Same with everyone else.

Liam's pov

I watched everyone open their gifts
"God thanks Theo!....Theo?" Isaac looked around confused and frowned. This continued a few times with everyone else and it made me a little sad. I mean yeah he wasn't here but I didn't know he was giving that much to the pack. Even when some of them still didn't like him, he gave them so much, "Uh Liam this ones for you." Derek said handing me a box
I opened it to see a smaller box inside
Jake looked at me and I just shrugged
I opened the box and a piece of paper fell out. It was a ring, A very beautiful ring and I looked to see the inside had something engraved in it.

A pain in my chest made me drop the ring but I went to quickly pick it up. My eyes filled with tears and I picked up the paper that fell. 'I now know I will never be able to give this to you...I can't have it...it hurts too much...so keep it or don't...do whatever you want with it now.'

The tears fell out and I choked a bit.
I-I don't k-know what I-I'm feeling b-but it s-sucks. I was picked up by Scott and I held the ring tight. I wouldn't let this go
It's all I had left to have of him.
...I could've had all of him but I let this happen. I don't know why but te pain in my chest got tighter. I hope this pain knocks me out so I can sleep.
