Toni's POV
I saw black.
Just black.
And every so often swirls of red and pink.
My favorite colours.
I eventually open my eyes slowly.
Everything is blurry at first, but my vision slowly adjusts to a young boy.
We lock eyes for a bit until he screams "MOM!"
Five seconds later a red-headed woman comes running in.
"What?" She asks the boy who was just staring at me.
He raised a finger towards me.
"TONI!" She screamed as she threw herself towards me.
I suddenly remembered who this beautiful woman was.
"Baby." I laughed as I kissed her head and rubbed her head while she showered me with kisses.
"What happened?" I asked her as she climbed in bed with me.
"Penelope shot you in the chest and you've been in a coma for..." Cheryl sighed as she snuggled up to me.
"For how long, Cher?" I asked her again as she kissed my jawline. "For thirteen years." She muttered slowly. "For how long!?" I asked her again.
"Thirteen years." She told me more clearly as she left the bed.
By this point two other kids, around the first boys age, walked in and just stared at us in shock.
"Elijah, Avery, Noah. This is your mom, Toni." Cheryl stuttered as she kissed my cheek. "Mom?" A boy with tan skin, blue and green eyes and brown hair asked me as he edged closer. "Elijah?" I asked him as I stared into his swirls of blue and green, which haven't changed since he was a baby. "Mom." He laughed as he pulled me into a hug. I hugged him back before pulling away quickly. "I probably need a shower." I laughed nervously as I rubbed the back of my head. "I don't care Mom. I've been waiting for thirteen years from a hug from my mom." Avery laughed as she joined in.
I looked at her long, ginger hair (that reminded me so much of her mother's), her sapphire eyes that remained the same since she was a baby and her slightly lighter skin than Eli's.
They really haven't changed.
"Noah?" I asked the first boy I saw when I woke up.
"Y-Yeah?" He asked me nervously as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Do you want a hug?" I asked him softly.
"Yeah." He smiled as he held me close to him.
"Hey Cher?" I asked the woman who was laughing excitedly down her phone. "Yes baby?" My wife asked me as she rushed to my side. "How will I shower?" I asked as I but my lip in nervousness.
"Well, well if we can, we can go home and shower, or we could have a shower here in the hospital." Cheryl told me. "I'll go and ask the doctor now." She smiled as she left the room.
"Mom has told us so much about you." Eli laughed as he sat down on the edge of the bed. "Really?" What'd she say?" I smirked as they all sat on my bed.
"She said that you were a sweetheart, you were a Serpent that would fight for what they believed was right, you were kind, you were a daredevil, you were a tomboy, you were tough, you were a beautiful wife and you were her everything." Avery told me from memory. "She is my everything, everything I do is for her." I smiled at my kids.
The boys were both taller than me, they were both 5'5, quite tall for their age, and Avery was around 5'4, still taller than me.
"I'm so sorry I wasn't there for your childhood." I told them seriously. "It's not your fault, Mom, it's Penelope's." Eli laughed as h ran his hands through his hair "What happened to Penelope?" I asked him.
"Jail for life." Noah smirked. Woah, finally.
Just as I was about to speak, Cheryl opened the door. "The doctors say you can go home because you've passed their test thingy." Cheryl smiled excitedly.
"Yay!" I smiled as I tried to get up but failed, leaving my body in Eli's arms. "Let's go to the car." He smiled as he picked me up and carried me.
"Do you play sports?" I asked my son as he laced me down in Cheryl's same car. "Yeah, Uncle Archie taught me football as soon as I could walk." He laughed as he sat in the back with his brother and sister.
"Do you want me to join you?" Cheryl asked me as she watched me get undressed. "Yes... please." I asked my wife.
Cheryl got unchanged and locked the door.
