(Sky's POV)

My eyes flashed open at the sudden movement at my side. I blinked a few times, trying to rid myself of the sleepiness still tethered to my gaze. I moved my head and saw Ryder looking at me. I sighed and closed my eyes again. "Good evening, Sky. Are you going to stay attached to my side all night or are you going to let me go?" I stared at him with wide eyes. I was still laying on his chest, I hadn't moved an inch since last night. Neither had he, maybe he was afraid he would wake me and so that was why he was still laying in bed. Wait did he say evening? "Did you say even ing?" He smiled, "Yes, you slept through the whole day. You weren't kidding when you said you were a night owl." "Why are you still in bed then?" He didn't have to answer, I already knew the answer. "Because you looked so peaceful sleeping on my chest, and I didn't want to ruin your rest. You look like you needed it. Especially after the night you had." I sighed and laid my head back on his chest. I didn't care that I was currently laying in a huge bed with a vampire that was my mate, in a mansion full of other vampires that wanted to kill me because I was a wolf.

He sighed, "Unfortunately, as much as I would love to stay in bed all night with you, Sky. I have to go take care of some things tonight. You're welcome to come along, but you can also st-" "I'll go!" He stared at me. "What?" "I said I'll go. I have no intentions of staying in a house full of vampires who want to see me strung up for days. I will gladly accompany you on your adventure." He scoffed, "It is hardly an adventure." I frowned. "Where are you going?"He looked down at me, surprised by my curiosity. "I have to make a trip to the king. He called earlier this evening, upon hearing I had a wolf currently living in my home. He wants to know who you are, why you're here and what you're intentions are." I frowned even more, "So, he basically wants to interrogate me?" "Pretty much. But I won't let anything happen to you, I promise."

We made our way out of bed and got dressed. I found a pair of black ripped jeans and some black boots that went all the way to my knee. My shirt was black with holes in the sides and it had a pentagram in the front, in white. I closed the closet door and approached Ryder. I had to blink several times in order to make sure I was seeing him clearly. He was wearing a pair of black, tight fitting jeans. I had to say, his ass looked really good. His shirt was black and was tight fitting as well. I swear everything this man owned, was at least a size too small. He was also wearing a pair of boots and a black leather jacket. I have never loved the color black so much in my life. "Are you ready to go?"I nodded. He approached the door and waited for me to follow. I walked past him and drew in a sharp breath, when I felt his hand brush mine.

I looked back at him and he was watching me. "The king does not know that you are my mate, we will have to refrain from actually touching one another, at least until we get home." He winked and walked past me and into the hallway. I scowled and said, "You'll be lucky if you ever touch me again." As I walked past him. He growled and lead us outside and back into the limo. I sat across from him and stared out the window, watching the buildings and neon signs fly by. I sighed out of boredom, "So, the king. Is he nice? Is he going to want to eat me as soon as we get there or?" He grinned, "No, maybe a little later." I gulped. "I'm only kidding." I narrowed my gaze and growled, "Don't do that to me." He laughed, "We're almost there." I continued to look out the window and awaited our destination.

A few minutes later, we stopped. I swirled my head around looking through all the windows. "Are we here?" He shook his head, "No, we are at the airport." I raised and eyebrow, "And I'm guessing we are flying somewhere?" He nodded. "Where exactly?" He smiled, "That's a surprise." "What? Why can't you tell me?" He grinned evilly, "Well you see, I was going to tell you, but after that comment you made this morning, I thought I would make you suffer a little." "What comment?" He opened the door and stepped out without answering, he only smiled. I grumbled and got out of my seat. I exited the limousine and saw Ryder talking to an attendant. We weren't going to fly in an airplane; we had our own private jet. My mouth dropped, "Woah, wait a second Ryder." He stopped talking and turned to me. "You didn't say anything thing about a private jet?!" He turned back to the man and then came towards me.

"Sky, I would never be able to sit in a plane full of people. The urge would be too strong, and I would end up killing everyone." I looked around, "Good point." He smiled, "Now, will you join me in boarding? Or do you wish to freeze?" He walked away and I hustled after him. I didn't like the idea of standing out here, and possibly freezing to death. I also didn't like the idea that I was going to be going to a place, where not only could I not leave on my own accord, but I would be surrounded by many people who didn't like me and most likely wanted me dead.
