(Ryder POV)

I was pissed.

No, I was livid. He had no right to speak about her like that, let alone in front of her father! I was damn near ready to pitch his head off and drop it at her feet, but I was stopped by Naros, with the assistance of Ciro. Dusty had disappeared long ago, I doubt anyone else noticed. Cole and Dallas stayed close to the doors, a wise choice because I was about to tear down the roof.

And Marku looked about ready to throw up everywhere; he did in fact threaten her life. I doubt Felyrn would show mercy to even him.

I jerked my arms out of Naros' hands, getting ready to defend my mate, when Felyrn held up his hand. "No, it's quite alright. I do have one question though. Why did you send another Alpha after her... If you didn't want anything to do with her?" I bared my fangs, unwilling to let him explain. I knew the story, Sky had told me and I heard it from him himself.

He wanted to keep her as a slave, just to bare him heirs, then kill her. If Felyrn ever heard about that, he was as good as dead. Just from the few minutes this Fae has been in the room, I can tell there's quite a bit of magic rumbling through his veins. Which made me look at my mate. How on Earth could she be part Fae?! When I first saw her, I had felt a surge of power, but had decided it was part of the bond.

But, maybe I was wrong.

Sky cleared her throat, "I can answer that question, seems how Khan is unable. He wanted to use me, to bare him heirs for the pack. When he asked me to be his mate, I rejected him, I knew what would happen. He wanted to keep me as a sex slave. He only wanted my body, to use it. I was unwilling to let someone use me in such a way, so I was banned and cast out of the pack. It was three or four years later when Autos came and found me... In a bar, drinking myself to death.

"I had left Luca there and I was trying to drink away the pain. I didn't know if he was even still alive, and I feared for what would happen to him if he was. Hell, I even tried to take my life. But, I was unable to do it. I couldn't leave Luca alone in that pack, ruled by an asshole of an Alpha."

She paused, not a single tear in her eyes. "I made a vow; to find Luca, no matter the cost and get him the Hell out of there. No matter what it took, I wasn't going to leave him there by himself." I could almost see the steam coming out of Khan's ears, he knew she was right. About everything but one... I was willing to do anything in my power to help her, but turns out, my father planned everything.

I jerked away from the two guards, towards my father. "Marku, you were going to give her to him, weren't you? What did he promise you? More land? More slaves?" He hissed, "Of course I would have given her away if it meant I was getting something out of it! But I wasn't! I just wanted the damn lone wolf out of my kingdom!" Felyrn glared, "Lone wolf? Are you telling me she spent all that time I was searching for her alone- without a pack?"

He looked furious. Hell, I was furious just as the thought of it. Felyrn kept his eyes on Marku, but addressed Sky, "I want you to tell me everything. Starting from when you were banished by Khan." She shivered, obviously thinking about all the time she spent alone.

Without me. The thought made me see red, I was angry. Mostly at myself, but I couldn't do anything about the past. It was only the future and I wanted to be there in hers for the rest of time.
