(Sky's POV)

I tried to get her under control, I knew hurting those two was wrong. But she wouldn't let up, I even tried shutting her out, but she became too strong. I watched in horror, as she ripped into Cole's face and neck, tearing flesh from bone. I wanted to scream, but it only came out in low growls. I watched Dallas move towards the door and yelled out at him, trying to get him to stop, but he didn't hear me. She made it to the door before he could escape. We pounced on him, taking him to the floor and proceeded to rip on him. My claws were fully extended and I could taste the blood in the air. Cole lay on the floor, unmoving and Ryder stood staring in shock, not knowing what to do next. I brought my attention back to Dallas beneath me.

His eyes were shut tightly and my wolf smiled triumphantly. I was going to have to slap myself for this later, surely Ryder will be very upset with me for making such a mess of things. I slowly stood, standing on unsteady feet. My mate watched me carefully, studying my every move. "Ryder..." My voice was hoarse, probably from all of the growling. Taking a shaky step forward, trying not to fall, I moved to him. My claws slide back and my fangs retreated. I wiped the leftover blood from my chin and rubbed it on my ripped jeans. When I looked back up at Ryder, he was staring intensely at his brother, still lying on the floor. He must have felt my gaze because his eyes snapped to mine. "Say something... Please." I pleaded quietly. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before opening them again.

He sighed, "What did he do?" My eyes widened, that was not the response I was expecting. I struggled to find the words, "He-I-Uh... What?" He smiled at my lack of speech and stepped forward. Which was a bad idea, because I was still on vampire ass kicking mode. As soon as his foot landed on the ground, I pounced. I had not an ounce of control over my wolf once she decided there was an ample threat. But Ryder wasn't a threat; quite the opposite in fact. He was my mate, my love, my everything. I wouldn't let her fight him, possibly hurting him. Of course, Ryder was a better fighter than me. He quickly anticipated my maneuver and sidestepped to the left, causing me to miss him completely. Ryder eyed me carefully, calculating my next move.

"You have to calm down, if you don't, I'm not afraid to follow up on my earlier threat while you were tied up." Instant heat shot through my body, causing me to jolt in surprise. My whole body stiffened and I began breathing heavily, so heavily that I didn't notice him take three steps towards me. Before he could say anything, five men, no vampires, rushed into the room. They lined the wall and stared at me. Ryder looked around the room and smirked, "Looks like you have drawn some attention to yourself, little wolf." Two of the guards stepped forward, obviously having a death wish. I growled, my wolf becoming ever slightly more present. Ryder tisked, "I wouldn't do that, Mate. Just let them do their job, or I'll have to do it for them." I had a feeling I didn't want to know what that meant.

My shoulders slumped and frowned. "Fine." I grumbled. Ryder motioned for the guards to step forward and watched with a fierce glare. I had a feeling he was not going to let these boys do any harm to me, without ripping their throats out first. Silently, I let them grab my forearms and lead me out of the room, away from Cole and Dallas, still lying on the floor. Ryder walked in sync behind the number of guards escorting me to some unknown destination. I looked behind me, to find him staring directly into my eyes, as if looking into my very soul. The intensity of his gaze caught my breath, making my steps falter. The guards holding me jerked my arms harshly, earning them a low growl from Ryder. The guard to my left, visibly shook at the noise. I studied his face intently, he couldn't have been more than nineteen, with his boyish features and trembling lower lip.

I was tempted to ask his name and how old he was. But Ryder was still staring at me and he noticed me looking at the boy. A low rumble sounded throughout the hall and my head snapped so hard in his direction, I was sure my neck would break. Except he wasn't looking at me, he was watching the guard with such hatred and anger, I thought he was going to kill him. "Ryder..." He looked at me, "Yes, little wolf?" I scoffed, "Don't little wolf me, I see the way you're looking at him like you want to eat him alive!" The guard stopped walking and looked at him with fear in his eyes. I stared him in the eyes, not blinking once and laid my hand on the boys shoulder. He flinched and I looked over at him. I stepped in front of him, so that he couldn't see Ryder steaming behind me. "What's your name?" I said softly, hoping he would trust me. He stared at me wide eyed and gulped loudly.

I smiled and let my hand on his shoulder drop to my side. Before he could speak, the second guard ground out. "We do not have time for this, Marku will not appreciate our being late." I snapped, "I don't give a fuck what Marku has to say, he's not my king. I will do whatever I damn well please, unless you'd rather make me come with you?" The boy guard stared at me wide eyed and finally found the courage to speak, but it was just a small squeak. "Naros." I looked at him and then back to the second guard, "And what is your name?" He straightened his back and glared, "Nothing that concerns a lone wolf, that's for damn sure." Behind me, Ryder had taken three large strides and was now standing beside me. "Ciro, I suggest you tell her your name or I'll let her have her way with you."

Ciro. I smiled, "See? Wasn't so hard was it?" He glared like his life depended on it and I smiled widely back. "Well, shall we get going?" Ciro bristled at my sudden change in mood. I chuckled softly and leaned into his ear, "And if you so much as lay a single finger on my on the way there.... I'll make sure you know what it feels like to have something shoved very hard up your ass. Maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't. You seem like an ass kind of man." I moved away from him and his eyes told me everything I needed to know. They were a bright red, fangs extended to full length. But there was definitely something different in him. He didn't seem angry about what I said, more.... Aroused.
