I gasped, sitting up only to be greeted by screams and fire. Looking around, nothing looked like where I just was.
Am I dead?
"Miss, you don't look like you are in the right place," a deep voice came from behind me. I turn around and come face to f...
I smile at the beautiful woman standing in front of me. The same woman who has been in every single one of my dreams since I can remember. A Goddess. That's the word to describe her beauty.
"My child, I still remember when you were so small, oh how you have grown." Her eyes teared up a bit but it definitely didn'taffect her perfect eye makeup that seemed to never fade, always complimenting her green eyes. I smiled at her, "mama, I'm not a child anymore, I'm turning 21 tomorrow."
"Mother that means we ca-" the beauty's daughter cuts herself off when she received a harsh look from her mother.
"Persephone, darling, she must come at her own time," her words were sharp yet delicate at the same time. This was how it always was, they spoke of things Icouldn't quite understand. And even whenI would start to understand, Iwould instantly be woken up somehow like I'm not supposed to know at all.
Like right now.
I open my eyes with a slight huff. Even though I'm used to these weird dreams, they always tend to dampen my mood a little. But without pondering on it anymore, my body willed itself to get out of bed and get ready.
Once I was finished I didn't a small twirl in my full body-length mirror. I was dressed in a black and white thin stripes long-sleeved shirt with some blue Jean overalls over it paired with my ankle black converse and a small bag for my phones and ICE things. The smell of food made it's way to my room, leading me to the kitchen.
My father stood there in his Adventure Time pajamas making some of his famous waffles with Biscoff. "Hi dad," I smiled at him, my dimples popping out just like how pretty much everyone wished theirs did.
"Hey kiddo," he ruffled my hair as I walked past him to the fridge, causing me to groan about him ruining my hair. My hair is naturally curly (my dad said I got it from my mother), so when people mess with it it is easily tangled. I sit down and say a quick prayer before scarfing down my food, knowing I'm going to be late for my college class if I don't rush.
With a quick bye to my father I head out to my small pickup truck before going to my college class.

After my long class of lectures I made my way back to my car, quick with hopes I can get some volunteering done.
My steps slowed when I saw my boyfriend, Dylon, standing there. Oh but he wasn't just standing there, he was with my best friend, Landon. They seemed really close but I didn't think about it too much of it since they have always been like this. I step down from the curb with a smile, "Hey guys! How is your day going so far?"
Landon gave me a nervous look as she bit her lip, something she did when she was hiding something. "Look I'm just going to come out and say this now. I dont like you anymore so I'm breaking up with you," Dylon quickly said but made it seem like an everyday thing.
"W-what?" I'm so confused, just the other day he had told me he was going to marry me someday. "What do you mean you dont like me anymore? I've done everything I could to make you happy. You told me yesterday you wanted to marry me."
Landon's head whipped up as her eyes narrowed at Dylon, "What the hell? I thought that was our thing?"
My head buzzed as they began arguing right in front of me. What did she mean that was their thing? Bits of their conversation were coming through, like how he never meant it and she is the only girl he loves. The argument got worse with that. He loves her? I felt the tears start to fill my eyes but I wouldnt let myself cry.
I looked up just to see Landon leaving with angry stomps and Dylon glaring at me, "What is wrong with you Fallon? You always ruin everything! You act like the perfect little angel but you just destroy all the good. I hate you!"
He continues to yell at me, causing for the tears to start flowing. I try to speak but my words get caught in my throat and even if I do get a word out he tells me to shut up. He starts walking closer to me with a look like he wants to kill me. He wouldnt of course, he wasnt a monster, but I still got scared and backed up.
"You deserve hell, you slut." With that last word he pushed me, but what neither of us knew was a car was coming. And he had just pushed me in front of it.
