Makyah

I'd woken up to a series of loud banging at the door—I'd locked it earlier.

"I'm coming," I muttered, rubbing my eyes. My head was pounding and the sunlight seeping in through the curtains, were literally an eyesore.

Unlocking the door, I opened it. "Yea?" Zaiver busted in, looking mad as hell.

"I know," I'd started. "You didn't want to and I manipulated you into it anyway. I'm sor—"

"Did I hurt you?" He asked, confusing me completely.

I raised my eyebrow in confusion, "What?" He was pacing. "Zai, stop that. What you talking about?"

Taking a seat on the bed, his leg started frantically bouncing up and down. He took a deep breath.

"Why you ain't tell me you was a virgin?" My eyes almost popped out. "Cause I wasn't..."

He didn't say anything for awhile and neither did I.

"So why was there blood on the sheets?" My heart dropped. How had I not noticed that?

I was so embarrassed. I turned my back to him, trying to figure out how I'd explain without sounding pathetic.

That explained the stinging sensation as I showered though. "Mu-must've been cause you were my second... didn't realize that was gone happen. I'll go clean it up."

I started walking towards the door, "Kya-"

My hand was on the door knob, "Let's not make a big deal about it."

I walked out heading towards the basement, but Cedes had just been leaving my room.

"Hey Makah." She looked miserable and in need of coffee. Even though I didn't drink coffee I always made sure to stalk the kitchen with it for her and the others.

She'd had her sunglasses on and she was fully dressed. "You leaving already?" She nodded.

"I gotta run some errands for my aunts little event I told you about and then I'll come straight back here." We were walking down the stairs together.

"Knowing her never ending list, I won't be back till around dinner so Popeyes?" She asked. I nodded, pulling her into the kitchen with me.

"That's fine. Now I know you trynna dip, but you look like you need coffee, so lemme make you some before you go."

She dropped her purse on the counter, sighing in relief. "Oh thank you girl. Lemme get that Cappuccino you made last time that was bomb."

"Already on it." I replied.

"You should've been my mother," she grinned. "Shut up, you was a terrible child. I could not." We both laughed.

Soon Zai came into the kitchen, "I'll be back."

She nodded, "Hey Zaiv, what you doing here..."

Heading for the basement, I went into his room, so I could get his sheets, but he'd already changed them.

He couldn't have said something? I scoffed dramatically.

I went back to the kitchen, grabbing her Cappuccino and twisting the top on, handing it to her.

"Thank you, gurlll. Now lemme leave for she call again and I cuss her out." I walked her to the door.

I was in the living room watching tv. Zai came to take a seat, handing me a plate—breakfast.

I hadn't been really hungry, but I ate anyway. "Thanks."

He looked back, "This not gone be awkward now is it?" I shook my head, "Nah I'm chilling."

Minutes later, a knock sounded at the door, Zai looked at me. "Ain't Mani upstairs?"

I nodded, getting up. "Don't worry bout it. I got this." He shrugged taking a seat.

"Who is it?" I yelled, walking up to the door, but no response. Without even looking through the peephole, I twisted the door knob, pulling the door open.

"H-hey precious."

Next I knew I hit the floor, vision blacking out.
