Makyah

I sat up in the darkness. Sweat dribbled down my face, my breaths came in uneven labored puffs.

This was becoming unbearable. Every time I fell asleep, his face would appear, hence waking me up.

It'd been probably two days since the dark skinned devil force his way in, although I could've been wrong.

I hadn't left my bedroom since. Each day felt the same as I laid in bed, feeling numb.

The night sweats were getting old, a nuisance really.

Cedes had spent every waking moment with me and if not, then she was somewhere in the house, despite my futile efforts of getting her to go home.

I wouldn't lie and say he hadn't caught me off guard, but I also knew I'd handled it as strongly as I could.

I was surprised by my sheer force. The whole ordeal played over and over from start to finish, every second of the day and night.

I wasn't willing to admit what I had gone through and I would never tell anyone as long as I lived. I just simply couldn't.

Cedes had tried a few times to get me to talk, but I'd only been able to send her away, more concerned and probably pissed than before.

By day three, the numbness had "thawed" out, so to speak, and I'd been obsessed with cleaning. Even though I'd spent the whole night after the ordeal cleaning with the help of Cedes.

Mani had been informed, but her job was demanding enough, she didn't need to worry about me.

I'd finally been able to convince Cedes to go back to work so I was glad to have the house to myself.

I'd done nothing but cleaned, but it took my mind off of.., things, so I was grateful.

Zai, hadn't bothered to show for these past few days and I was thankful, I didn't want him to see me like this.

We texted though, everyday, up until I would fall asleep. Although he seemed off, I'd let it slide. I'd figure he'd just been having a hard time beating himself with guilt of what happened.

I reassured him plenty of times through IMessage, but nonetheless, he apologized everyday.

I was in the bedroom next to mines, the one Cedes had been sleeping in, cleaning. I'd dusted, remade the sheets and then changed them, and vacuumed when my phone buzzed.

Cedes: Omw back. Bought carryout.

Me: Ard.

It hadn't been until after I'd hit send that I realized, I hadn't spoken to Zai all day, so I texted him.

Just as I started out of her room, a vibration caught my attention. That's weird. I knew it hadn't been my phone, what was weirder, was that it buzzed right after I hit "send".

Unlocking my phone, I went to Zai's message texting him random emojis to check my theory.

I walked closer to her bed before hitting send again.

Something buzzed right behind the nightstand. I squinted looking behind it. That's weird as fuck.

Sure enough there was a phone wedged behind it. Pushing the nightstand away from the wall, I retrieved the phone.

What the..?

Naturally, the screen woke up, showing me the wallpaper of Zai and I, his screensaver of us making goofy faces.

Why would his phone be in here with Cedes? I unlocked it and sure enough, the messages I'd sent popped up on the screen.

His phone in hand as I mulled over possible options over, I went downstairs. As if planned, Cedes was coming through the front door, a smile on her face.

"Hey girl. Look at you outta bed..." I wasn't listening as I followed her into the kitchen instead I held his phone up, just wanting for her to notice.

She turned to face me, "You hear me?" Her eyes finally caught on causing her smile to falter.

I'd gone through the messages and compare them to Cedes style of texting, and even though she tried to mimic his style, I could tell they'd matched to hers.

"The fuck is going on?"

A/N: I will throw up two chapters later tonight.
