Makyah
I'd been in the living room, tapping away at my phone trying to order Zai and I some dinner.
It was really his turn to cook, but he was already stressing over work and school so I figured I'd lighten his load a little.
Our Bon Chon order was just placed when I heard the front door slam open. "Kyah!?"
Concerned, my eyebrows shot up as I got up and shuffled towards the hallway, fuzzy blanket around my hips, to get a look. "What's the problem?.. You hurt or something?"
He'd been barreling towards me, a packet in hand and his construction work clothes on still.
I'd been too busy trying to figure out if he'd been injured, that when his arms went around me embracing me, I was confused.
He pulled back, a grin on his face whilst shoving the packet into my hands. "I got a eighty five percent, shawty."
He'd been talking too fast. "What?" I grimaced, finally taking a look at the paper.
Right there on the top right corner in bold red was a sloppily written eighty-five with a circle around it.
A grin spread across my face, "Of course you did," I shrugged. "Told you, you wasn't dumb."
I was so proud of him, even though I wasn't surprised, it made me happy seeing him like that—so proud of himself and finally seeing his own potential.
"Shit," he scoffed. "This was all you, wasn't for you I prolly would've failed and got kicked outta school."
Catching me off guard, his lips were on mine. Regardless of being caught off guard, I was quick to respond after all, nobody else had my body like he did.
One minute we'd been celebrating his grade and next I was propped against the arm of the sofa, legs wrapped around him as he ground against me, both of us still clothed.
I gasped the friction he was creating, sizzling as his lips sucked on my neck.
"Mykah, gurl where—?"
I swore, I felt like I'd just been dunked into a pool of ice water; I quickly attempted to separate myself from him, but after helping me to my feet, he kept me close to his side.
"Cedes, I—"
Her mouth had been hung open, eyes glued to the spot where Zai had been grinding up against me moments ago.
"First off, I'm never sitting my ass on that couch again, period!" She glanced around curiously, "Where else y'all been fucking at??"
Mani had also joined us in the living room. "They were—y'all were fucking on the couch?"
I was so embarrassed that my mouth just kept opening and closing, fish out of water style.
Zai had stepped in, "Cedes how many times I caught throwing ass in high school, this just karma. Next time, you gone get a full scene."
I was horrified, to say the least.
Suddenly, Mani and Cedes both started crying laughing. "Oh my Lord, Mykah your face," Cedes pointed.
"Calm down. We always known and you gave yourself up after we went shopping that one time," said Mani.
Cedes shrugged. "You can't hide hickies for shit... We was just waiting for you to tell us, but this works too, shit."
All I was good for in that moment was to glare at the three of them. Their grins plastered widely on their annoying faces.
Zai's arm had found its home slung over my shoulder, pulling me close he announced. "This my girl, right here," he spoke following with a kiss to my temple.
