Between working and Kyah's demanding sex drive, a nigga was wiped. Even though we'd gone weeks without each other, it seemed this week she needed me every chance she got.

Shit, I appreciated shorty's enthusiasm, but damn a nigga had barely made through the door before she came to the basement.

"Zai?" I heard her call from my living room as I got undressed and ready for a shower.

"Coming," I called back. Wrapping a towel around my waist, I walked out of my room.

My dick already started to swell the minute I'd caught a glimpse of her in a crop top and booty shorts.

Shit, I took it back. She could tie me up and throw away the key if she wanted. She turned facing me.

"Oh, you boutta hop in the shower?" I nodded, my eyes too busy exploring. No matter how many times I saw her, sexed her—each time felt like the first.

I was broken from the trance when she started heading for the stairs though, confusion knocking, hard.

"Where you going?"

"I just came to let you know, ya foods in the microwave- take ya shower and we'll talk."

"Wanna join me?" She shook her head making me cock my eyebrow, that was a first—her flat out turning me down.

After my shower, I went upstairs to grab my plate. I remembered she'd mentioned something about wanting to talk so, plate in hand as I scarfed spoonfuls down, I marched up to her room. Curious.

I knocked, walking in when she'd invited me. She was catching up on a show from what I could tell. "What'd you wanna talk about?"

"Oh," she cried. Partially at the tv, partially towards me. Finally, she paused the tv as I ate. "I almost forgot. Didn't people used to call you Shine, back when we was in high school."

I froze at the nickname. "Why?" I asked, suspiciously.

"Well, I was cleaning the house today and some dark skinned nigga knocked. Said he was looking for Shine—"

Oh fuck.

"What'd you say," I rudely interrupted. "I told he him had the wrong house and he left."

"You sure?" I asked, my food already finished. She nodded. I sighed in relief. At this rate, I was going to face him sooner than later.

"He was kinda cu—" Jealously sprung through me as well as fear. I couldn't have her getting involved with them.

"Stay away from him— or anybody that call me Shine." My words had come out more demanding then I wanted them to.

She glared at me. "I can't notice a nigga now? And just cause we fucking doesn't mean your bout to be controlling m—"

"Kyah, that ain't how I meant it you know that. Anybody that call me Shine ain't a friend. Jus forget that name and that nigga, please."

Even though she nodded, I knew she was mad. She probably thought I being an ass, but I was protecting her.

She'd resumed the show, the vibe in the room now seem a little hostile maybe unsettled.

"Kyah, I'm saying this to protect you..." That and ion want you thinking about other niggas, but me.

"Mhm umm," she replied uninterested in my explanation. If it had been another reason for the attitude, I would've fucked her into submission, but this was a serious matter and I had to figure out my next steps.

This was a problem, they were getting too close.

I got up and left the room, despite wanting to spend the night hearing her moans.
