"It was fun," I shrugged, as we walked towards class. I tried to keep my face neutral as I teased the brunette who is dying to know more about what happened the day before. "That's it? Fun?" She exclaimed, as she took her seat next to mine near the back of the class. I have been giving them the silent treatment since that day as a revenge for my embarrassment, but today it felt rather tempting to tease her. "You shouldn't have left me with him like that if you wanted to know what's gonna happen." I shrugged.

I am not gonna lie, it wasn't that bad. It was rather enjoyable actually, but it feels like I would be admitting defeat if I told her that. "Call me a criminal for wanting you to have some fun and get over that stupid crush of yours," She hissed in annoyance. Now it's stupid!

"What do you want me to say Zee? I cried, feeling a bit offended by her comment. "It was nice, we had a nice conversation and he looks like a decent guy," I added, trying to keep my annoyance at bay. "But that's it. We had a nice conversation,'

"You'll just go and fantasize about all that's gonna happen, but nothing happened!" I added, knowing what's coming. "Not yet," She shrugged, a grin stretched across her face.

"God, no!" I hissed. "What? what?" She argued, "You said he is a nice guy and you had a comfortable conversation, so why not?" She asked with raised eyebrows.

"Because having a nice conversation with someone doesn't mean I will fall in love with them!" I hissed. "That's what got me here in the first place," I mumbled.

"I don't want you to make this into something bigger than it actually is," I said quietly as students began to fill in the classroom. "I think I have had enough of that,"

"Plus, I can't move on to another when I am not even nearly over the previous one," I added honestly. And that was enough to shut her up as I laid back in my chair, watching the students rush in. I am not over him yet. I know I am not.

....

"Isn't that him?" Cried Ash as we walked towards the cafeteria. "Him, who?" Asked Adam, his eyes flickering between Ash and wherever she was pointing.

"A guy she met at a party the other day," She explained, and I could feel the heat rush to my face as I speed towards our table. "You went to a party?" He asked in disbelief as they caught up with me, sitting their bags down next to them before he took his seat next to me followed by Natasha who took her seat on the opposite side of the table. "Alone?" He added, turning to me, his eyebrows raised in confusion.

"I wasn't alone, she was there." I replied, as I let my hair cover my now red face. Why am I getting nervous, it's not like I am doing anything abnormal or wrong! "Why didn't you tell me?" He asked in confusion, and by the look on his face, I could tell he was hurt

"It was a girls' night," I said. "Hmmm," He mumbled, before looking back at me, his eyes flickering between Ash and I. "And who is that guy?" He inquired once again as Zack joined us at the table. "What guy?" Asked the newcomer.

"Just a guy I met the other day," I said, trying to appear nonchalant, when I was actually ready to be swallowed whole by mother earth. "Met him where?" Inquired Zack. Dude please drop it please. "At a party apparently." Said Adam. "Ah, yeah Zayna told me you went to a party this weekend." He nodded in acknowledgement.

"Am I the only one who didn't know about the party?" Asked Adam in disbelief. "It was a spur of a moment thing, plus why did you wanna know?" Said Ash, her eyebrows raised in question.

"You shouldn't have gone to a party without male company, you know how stupid these parties can get!" He explained, as she looked at him in amusement. "I mean, it's safer to have at least one of us there you know," he added, pointing between him and Zack. "Just in case.." He trailed off.

"Got it," said Zack, before looking at Natasha, who was still looking at Adam in Amusement. "Are you done with your presentation?" He asked, changing the subject. Thankfully.

"Ask her," She said, pointing at Zayna who finally joined us. "Ask me what?" Asked the girl as she took her seat next to Ash.  "Tell him what you decided to add to the presentation." Said Natasha.

"You remember that song from the movie we watched at your house?" She asked me, as I nodded yes. "Don't remind me dude, I cannot believe we trusted you with choosing a movie, again!" I cried, remembering the absolute heartbreak I went through the other day. Which was not helping my case of heartbreak!

"Dude, it was a beautiful movie!" She exclaimed, "Tell that to my buffy eyes and broken heart!" I said glaring at her jokingly.

"She made us watch this Korean movie the other day, " Explained Ash as she noticed the confusion on the boys faces. "And it was rather .. Sad!" She added.

"Sad?" I exclaimed. "More like heartbreaking, soulf crushing, devastating." I trailed off, making Adam laugh. "It was an emotional roller-coaster."

"Remember when we went to watch Me before You?" Asked Adam, as I nodded. I think it was the very first time he ever saw me cry. "And funny thing was, I saw it before!" I chuckled, remembering how I cried my eyes out in his car as we watched the movie in the open-air pop up cinema.

"Why would you do that to her Zee?" He asked the girl sitting in front of him, an amused smile playing on his lips. "You know she can't handle it!" He added, as I hit his arm jokingly.

"That's why I can never go on a movie date," I sighed. "I didn't mind," He shook his head, as my face broke into a million shades of red.

"You're my friend, you basically saw me at my worst," I mumbled, as I tried to hide my now crimson coloured face behind my black locks. "I didn't mind that either," He mumbled. Why are you doing this to me!!

I was gonna add something before I heard a voice calling me, "Hey," said the guy to one in particular as he nearing our table, a big smile playing on his lips as he came to a halt by my chair. "Oh hey Nate!" Cried Zayna, waving back at the guy. I could tell he is nervous by the way he was shifting on his toes and the stupid fake smile on his face. "Can we talk minute," He said looking down at me as I nodded in understanding, grabbing my phone of the table before following him outside.

"I texted you," He said as we stood in the now empty corridor. "Yeah, I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to check my phone today." I smiled apologetically. "It's okay," He smiled down at me, offering me a smile.

"I just wanted to ask if you're free after school today," He enquired. "I think so, why?" I asked, looking at him in confusion.

"And you still wanna go to the rooftop?" A silly smile playing on his lips. "Are you serious?" I asked in disbelief. "Yeah why not!" He shrugged.

"I don't know!" I exclaimed. Isn't that against the rules or something! "

"Don't worry, it will be fun!" He exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear.

"Mmmm."  I mumbled not knowing what else to say.
