"You know I find it pretty amusing how you know these records by heart, yet you still take so long to pick one," Said Adam coming to stand next to me, as I browsed through the music box.

I pressed on one of the songs unable to focus on my search anymore, before turning back to him, "It feels exciting to search for that one song that you feel would make up your mode for the night," I shrugged, as the sound of Victor Crone filled the Pizzeria. Why do I feel you all the time? Why do I feel you in the back of my mind?

"I see," He mumbled as we stood there, neither of us looking at the other as we listened to a love song. 'Cause I never felt something so strong The song went on,

This can't be love

This can't be love

This can't be love

Why in the world did I choose this song! Out of all the songs on the freaking music box, I had to go and click this one!

"Mmmm, I'm gonna get a refill." I exclaimed grabbing the cup I left on the music box before running up to the refill counter and away from him, feeling my heart go into overdrive as I stood there by the machine unable to control it. I pressed the refill button to not look like an idiot standing in front of the soda machine with her empty cup, unable to control her emotions, almost overfilling the cup, getting some on my hands.

I left my cup on the counter, not feeling like drinking anymore, before heading up to the bathroom to wash it off before it gets sticky. "What are you so sacred of? It's just so not like you," I heard someone say as I was about to turn the corner, making me stop in my tracks. "I don't know, Senna!" Replied the voice I recognize well, making me freeze in place. Is she asking him out? I know I told her he has no one on his mind, but I guess it's just that I never expected her to you know ... do it! Or maybe I just hoped she wouldn't.

"If you don't tell, I will," She said, and I could hear her voice getting closer, which means she was probably walking away. Which means she is walking my way! "Don't," I heard his voice call out as I stumbled backwards almost knocking down a chair as I hid behind the first thing I could find, crouching over as I tried to control my over-beating heart. What is she going to tell? That they are already together?

I waited for a second until they were far enough to not notice me walk out from behind this random table in a freaking pizzeria, getting some random looks from the staff. What the hell am I doing! "Claire?" I heard someone call from the other end of the restaurant, snapping me out of my trance as I smoothed out my clothes, trying to act calm and collected, before walking back to our table, where everyone was seated.

"Where have you been?" Asked Ash, patting the spot next to her motioning for me to sit.

"I just spilled some soda on my hand so I went to wash it off," I said with a smile, and I could feel the stickiness of the sweet beverage on the back of my hand. "I don't think I feel very well," I announced, unable to wrap my head around what I had just heard.

Is he scared of telling us that they got together? Is it because of Zayna's undeniable bitterness towards Senna? Is it because of me? Different thoughts swarmed my mind as I tried to compose myself and act normal.

"I think I should head home!" I added, and I could feel all eyes turning to me as I stood there, awkwardly scratching the back of my now sticky hand as I watched their concerned faces burn through my flesh. "I'll just wash my hands," said Natasha, already getting up.

"No, no, I can't take you away from your celebration dinner." I argued, holding her arm. "I'll just grab a taxi. My house is not that far!" I added, trying to convince her with the brightest smile I can manage.

"I can take you," cried the last person I wanted to utter these words. "She is right. You can enjoy yourself. I'll take her home!" He motioned for Natasha to sit, getting his car keys out.

"Can you go back with the others?" He asked Senna, as she nodded yes, motioning for him to go as I followed him outside, bidding our friends goodbye. Why god why!

"You didn't have to come; I could've just taken a taxi!" I exclaimed as he opened the door to the passenger seat, letting me in, before making his way to the other side and into his seat. "It's okay, I wasn't feeling it anyway." He shrugged.

"Why?" I asked out of curiosity. Does it have to do with what I just heard!

"It's nothing, I just have a lot on my mind, that's all," He said, as we made our way out of the parking lot and onto the main street. "Wanna talk about it?" I asked, not quite sure I actually wanted to hear him talk about it. But I needed some answers before my head makes some of its own.

"Maybe some other time?" He offered with a smile as I nodded in fake understanding.

"What about you?" He asked as I looked at him in confusion. "What about me?"

"You've been acting weird all day!"

"I have?"

"Don't play dumb Claire, we both know you were," He smiled, looking at me in the rearview mirror. "And we both know you just made that excuse to get out of there."

"I..." I mumbled, not knowing what to say. "Is something bothering you?" He enquired.

"Did something happen with Natasha?" He asked. "You stayed in the bathroom for quite some time earlier."

"No, no, we're fine. I just had some trouble with my makeup." I said. "But you're not wearing any makeup!" He exclaimed with a chuckle.

"I'm not." I nodded, feeling the heat rise into my cheeks. "Boy trouble?" He asked out of the blue, catching me off guard.

"What?" I asked in shock. "I don't know. I never heard you talk about any guy you liked before, so I thought maybe you were!"

"That's random," I exclaimed, not getting how he reached that absurd conclusion even though I was indeed talking about a guy with her back there. Still absurd!

"But for real though, I've never heard you talk about any guy since you came to West high!" He exclaimed. Because I like you idiot, how am I going to talk to you when the guy I like is you!

"I guess no one caught my attention yet!"

"Hard to believe,"

"Why?"

"Because I'm here,"

"What?"

"I'm quite the catch, you know." He smiled, as I looked at him in confusion.

"I'm kidding C, calm down!" He chuckled, as we parked outside my house. Told you it's not that far! "Oh," I mumbled.

I could feel his eyes on me as I unbuckled my seatbelt. "You know what, I'm not kidding!" He exclaimed catching me off guard as I felt his warm lips collide with mine, leaving me frozen in place with one hand clutching the door handle so hard, it almost turned blue, while the other laid motionless on my lap unable to move, as I finally got a taste of his lips.
