"Hey!", Elijah says," That was my pancake!" "I thought you said you didn't want it", Sub says, already munching on the soft pancake. "I said I did...", Elijah says. Sub shrugs his shoulders and evilly smiles.
It was the next day, Friday, thank god, and me, Elijah, and Sub were sitting at our lunch table, eating breakfast.
"Uhm, guys?", I ask," Where's Denis?" "Aren't you supposed to know?", Sub asks, with his mouth full of bacon," You're staying with him." I frown. "Yeah but, he wasn't at home when I woke up", I say. "He wasn't at the bus stop either", Elijah says. "Well, I don't know! Don't ask me", Sub says.
Right after that, Denis walks into the school building with a small bag, like what you would put a present in. He comes over to where we were sitting and sits down next to me.
"Ooo, a present for me?", Elijah asks," It's not my birthday!" Denis rolls his eyes and laugh. "No no, this isn't for you", he says, smiling," It's for Braden..." He hands me the bag, blushing.
"Braden, it's your birthday?!", Sub asks. "Uh..no", I say," My birthday is July 20..." "You know I can give people gifts without it being their birthday, right?", Denis asks. You can just see the sass in his eyes. "I know, jeez", Elijah says," We were joking." "Whatever", Denis says," Anyways, open it!"
I cautiously start to open the bag, and then stopped. "This better not be a prank", I say. "It's not! I promise!", Denis says. I start opening the bag again and found flowers in it. "What is this?", I ask. "It's flower crowns", he says. My eyes light up.
I dump out the flower crowns on the table. There were 6 beautiful flower crowns all laying on top of each other.
Without thinking twice, I hug Denis. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!," I say. "You're welcome", he says," But you're squeezing me too hard" I giggle a little and let go. "Sorry," I say. "You guys are friendship goals", Elijah says. "More like boyfriend goals", Sub says quietly. "I heard that!," Denis says, blushing. I also start to blush.
"Ooo, what's this?," a snobby voice says from behind me. I turn around to see Kyle. His face a big bandage wrapped around his jaw area. "I see that you have more flower crowns," he says. "Dude are you serious?," Elijah asks," Go away!" Kyle rolls his eyes. "So where's your other gay friend at?", Andrew asks, walking up behind Kyle. "He's suspended because of you!," Sub says. "He shouldn't have started the fight then!," Kyle sassily says. "Actually, you're the one who started the fight!", I say. "Who even told you to talk?", Andrew says. I turn a little red and stay quiet.
"Anyways", Kyle starts,"Hope to see you in class...Braden", he says, walking away and smiling evilly. "Bye, love birds and third wheels", Andrew says. Tyler, who I didn't even notice was there, follows behind them too.
"Ugh! I hate them!", Elijah says, slamming his fists on the table," I wish I had Alex's strength so I could knock them out!" Denis shakes his head. "No, violence is never the answer", he states. "Denis, you're no fun", Elijah pouts. "Well solving conflict with violence never solves any-", Denis gets cut off by Elijah. "Solving conflict with violence is never the answer", Elijah mocks. Denis rolls his eyes. "Well I'm just saying that-", he gets cut off again. "Blah blah blah, I'm a nerd", Elijah mocks. "Ugh, whatever! Shut up!", Denis says, sounding a little hurt. Me and Sub start giggling. I love when Denis tries to act defensive. I find it a little cute.
"Which flower crown are you going to wear?", Sub asks. "Hmm...I might wear this one," I say. I hold up a pink and white flower crown. It matched my outfit perfectly. "Here, I'll put it on for you", Denis says, gently taking it from my hands. I blush as he places the flower crown on my head. "Ooo, cute", Sub says.
*Briiiiiiiiing*
"We better get to class!," Denis says.
