You plopped down in your seat, ready for another boring and repetitive day at the Literature Club. You loved all the members, but with Natsuki doing something in the closet, Monika and Sayori making poems, and Yuri staring at the cover of her book, you weren't sure what to do.
Suddenly, you heard movement. You turned to see Yuri shyly approach you, a tiny smile on her face. "H-hello..." She stuttered. She had her book held to her chest, her cheeks a slight shade of pink.
You smiled up at the taller girl. "Oh, hey."
She took her book, showing it off to you. It was covered in dark crimson binding, with an ominous eye symbol glaring ahead. Golden print on the cover read, "Portrait of Markov."
"I was wondering if you'd like to read with me?" The quiet girl asked. Her request honestly surprised you. Yuri was a quiet character, who would prefer standing out of the way. So hearing her ask you to read, must be special.
So, you took up the offer with a casual nod. "Sure." You climbed out of your seat, masking your excitement as you walked behind Yuri. The way her dark violet hair danced as she walked... the elegant movement of her long, creamy legs... Her apologetic personality... everything Yuri did managed to be beautiful or adorable.
You found yourself back to reality, a hand filling up most of your vision. You shot back, putting your hands up defensivly. "W-wha!!" You stuttered.
Yuri's face changed to shock, and she stumbled back. "I'm sorry!" She shouted, dropping her book to the ground. "I didn't mean to..."
Monika looked up from her poem writing, her eyes meeting yours. "What's wrong, Yuri?" She asked politely.
Red began to dust Yuri's face as she noticed that everyone in the room had their eyes on you and her. You also began to feel a bit awkward, but you didn't mind as much as she did.
Nervous laughter leaked out of Yuri's slightly parted lips. She curled her fingers around your forearm, tugging at it. "Y/N, let's continue this in the hallway..."
You knew how eager Yuri was to escape the club, so you followed her as she dashed out of the room.
She came to a slow halt at the nearest water fountain, running fingers through her purple tresses. You gave a small grin at her behavior, and how easily she could get flustered. For a quick moment, you wished you could get the dandere to blush too.
"I'm sorry."
You looked up. You knew that she usually apologized a little bit too much than she needed to, but this time, you didn't even know what she did. "Sorry for what?"
Yuri gaped at you, lavender eyes shining with slight confusion. "For running out of the club with you..." She slowly explained, rising her hands to twirl her thumbs. "Aren't you mad...?"
You shook your head in an instant, leaning closer to her. "No, of course not!" You cried out. "Why do you apologize all the time? Nothing that happens is your fault. They should have known you don't like all the attention."
Yuri's face was now starting to sweat. "Do I really do that?" She whispered, trembling slightly. "I'm so--"
"Shhhh."
You pressed your finger against Yuri's mouth, causing a small squeak from her. The feeling of her lips under your skin was plush and satisfying. You could only imagine that feeling of your lips on hers, would be even better.
Yuri passed you a small smile, stepping away from your finger. "How about we go get a drink of water? I could use it," Yuri said simply, clenching her hands together. You couldn't help but notice signs that she was feeling anxious- her face was fiery red, she was beginning to sweat, her body trembled slightly.
You moved away from the water fountain, allowing Yuri to take the first drink. As she leaned down to the fountain, you clutched her long hair away from her face.
Squeaking, Yuri twisted around, picking you up in her eyes. "What was that for?" She asked gently, her hand preparing to turn the fountain on.
You shrugged, your own eyes offering themselves to hers. "I don't want your hair to get wet."
A subtle smile crept onto Yuri's lips. "Thank you... She said quietly. "That's very kind of you." You gave her a warm smile back, before she turned back and began to drink the liquid spraying from the fountain.
"You know, Yuri, you're really pretty."
You guess she wasn't expecting that response, because she almost fell forward into the fountain.."Eh?!" She shouted, and the faucet sprayed a jet of water at her. It hit her face, her bangs, and the sides of her hair, smearing her makeup.
You let go of her hair, framing your hands around her dripping face. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! Are you okay?!"
Yuri met your eyes in a frenzied panic, stumbling back and wiping wet black mascara stains over her cheeks. "It's fine, i-it's fine..." She stammered. You began to help her clean her face of the makeup, before she suddenly stopped, and looked up at you. Her eyes were big and innocent. "Did you mean what you said?"
You smiled. You meant every word. After all, Yuri was the only one who could make your heart feel this way. "I do," you said.
Yuri breathed in sharply, her face getting red. "O-oh!" She cried out. "Y/N, you sound like we're getting married!"
A cocky feeling began to pop into you, and you jumped forwards, grabbing onto Yuri's shoulders and pinning her to the wall. Before she had a chance to react, you began to speak. "I meant every word, Yuri. You're downright beautiful. You're also adorable, graceful, brooding, and a wonderful girl overall. You have everything I could ever want out of a person. And all I really want right now is for you to say that you love me."
You shoved your arms around Yuri's body. You could feel her burying her head into your shoulder, getting it damp with tears leaking from her eyes. "This is the happiest day of my life," she said in a muffled voice.
You hugged her tighter, planting a caring kiss on her forehead. "Mine too, Yuri," you agreed. "Mine too."
Oof, cheesy stuff
