I grin as I stare at my phone, probably looking insane. But I revel in the feelings of happiness that Kelley manages to bring to me, even with a simple question. In fact, I'm reveling in it for so long that I forget to answer her and my phone starts to go off.

"Why are you smiling at your phone?"

"No reason." I answer Pinoe, shoving my phone back in my pocket after reading the last text from Kelley, telling me that she'll pick me up at 7.

"I don't believe you. You've not smiled like that for weeks." She narrows her eyes at me, which would be intimidating...if I didn't know how dorky she could be.

"She's texting The Irish One." Hope adds from her place - her bed.

"Who let you in?" I ask Pinoe, when it dawns on me that I haven't moved, nor has Hope.

"I have my ways." She simply shrugs and joins me on my bed, laying her head on my shoulder only for my to push her off. "Hey! Rude."

"How did you know I was texting Kelley?" I ask Hope, who finally lifts her head from the book she was enthralled in.

"You get this look on your face, you only get it when you're talking to her. Or someone mentions her. It's sickeningly sweet."

I frown at the 'keeper and Pinoe laughs from beside me, but I can't really argue - she's probably right. I'm saved from the endless teasing from the two more experienced players when my phone rings. I expect it to be Kelley, but my heart races when I see my brother's name on my screen. I jump from the bed and excuse myself out to the balcony to answer my phone.

"Logan?!"

"Kevin. Are you okay?" I ask immediately, worry settling deep within me when I hear the panic in his voice, so many thoughts on what could be going wrong.

"I'm fine, I'm okay. I just..."

"Just what?"

"I miss you. I hate it here. I want to come home." I bite my lip to stop the sob leaving my mouth. I miss him too, and I want him there whenever I come home.
