"I would rather die of passion than boredom."
- Van Gogh

It's been two days since Logan last spoke with Kelley. The air finally cleared and all issues behind them, the young rookie felt relaxed for the first time in a long time. The only other time she felt at ease was in Kelley's arms, but now wasn't the time for that.

"C'mon, pick up." Logan mumbles into the receiver as she holds her phone to her ear, waiting for her German friend to answer the call.

The request that was made of her months ago had still stood, Logan found out, and after all that had happened in the last month, the rookie believed that now was the time for a change.

Admittedly, she believed that if she moved, Kevin would be by her side, and Kelley. She loved them both, and right now couldn't decide which one she would take with her, if she could. She also believed that, right now, both would be better off without her.

"Hallo!"

"Melanie, finally!" Logan breathed out, the dull tone of the dial was beginning to irritate her.

"Sorry, I was in the shower." Melanie replied, her German accent shining through. "Are you on your way here?"

"I'm in the airport now." Logan mumbles, feeling uncomfortable in the overcrowded building. "Please tell me the airports there are less...just less."

"Are you sure about this?" Melanie asks her Seattle-native friend.

"No," Logan admits as she watches a family heading to their gate. The typical, heterosexual, white picket fence type family. "But I think it's something that I need to do. I won't be able to concentrate on my recovery if I stay here. I'll just worry about Kevin, my team, my friends-"

"And Kelley?" Melanie cuts the Rookie off.

"Yeah."

Logan tells Melanie the times for her flights, knowing the German will want to pick her up from the airport when she arrives.

After ending the call, the rookie continues to watch passersby. People who are happy, or at least seem happy, which is closer to being happy than she is. She can't believe how fast everything changed, how it all collapsed and that she let it. She didn't put up a fight, she gave in. She wanted to tell herself that it all fell at her feet because she was too tired from holding it all together for years. Too tired from dealing with her drunk of a mother. Too tired from raising Kevin, spending all her time at school, studying, working odd jobs and then being a mother for her brother. But deep down she knew that was a lie.

"Flight 727 to Munich, connecting in London, now boarding." Logan hears over the speakers and stands to pull her backpack on, ticket and passport in hand. She puts her Beats on, turning her music on in preparation for the flight and joins the line.

At the entrance to the airport, a black sedan pulls up, screeching rubber burns against the tarmac as doors fly open and bodies sprint to the building.

"Excuse me! Sorry!" The freckled face of Kelley O'Hara yells as she shoves people out of the way, as gently as possible.

"Kelley, slow down!" Megan yells as she and Hope chase after the eloquently named Squirrel.

"I can't! I need to see her!" Kelley yells over her shoulder, her pace doesn't slow as she barrels into a group standing idly. "Sorry!"

Having gotten the flight information from the younger Scott, the three knew where they were headed, following the signs that were badly displayed around the building.

"It should be just up ahead!" Hope yells in order for Kelley to hear, the only confirmation that she does is the slowing of pace they were travelling in.

"There she is!" Kelley yells, mostly to herself as she pushed people out of the way, no longer caring about being polite, a desperate need to reach Logan taking over. "Logan!"

Megan and Hope get lost in the crowd, a sea of people seemingly appearing out of nowhere. Kelley continues on her own, closing in on the gate as Logan hands over her ticket and passport.

"Logan! Logan, wait !"

The young rookie takes her ticket and passport, placing them in her bag and strapping it on her back once again, before continuing to the plane, unable to hear the love of her life chasing her and shouting her name.

"Logan!" Kelley yells, arriving at the gate as staff prevent her from getting on the plane to see the rookie.

"Sorry, miss. I can't let you on the plane without a ticket."

"But--I need to get on the plane! The woman I love is on that damn plane!"

"I'm sorry ma'am, I can't let you-"

The rookie finds her seat on the plane as it slowly begins to fill with excited passengers eager to experience a new and different culture. Logan takes her phone from her pocket, the screen lights up and shows a picture of herself in Kelley's arms, a picture of happier times. She unlocks the device to change the album she wishes to listen to, unaware that the woman she yearns for is so close, yet so far.
